I had this exactly the same bike. I bought it from my best friend in 1987 for only $600. Dollars cash. It was my first motorcycle, a Honda CM 400 T , 1980 model ,it was a great little bike. Sadly I sold it years later. Now, I’m in my sixty’s and remembering my youth and the freedom I got from riding that old Honda , now and then I miss it very much . Thank for the video.😢😊
I bought my 1981 CMT400 new in 1980 in Blue. This was a great and comfortable bike with a great sound. I wish many times I should never have sold this bike. I traded this bike for an 1987 Honda Helix 250cc.👍
Cb450sc nighthawk exhaust parts and front fender will fit to the bike just fine. So if you are ever fishing around on eBay search for the nighthawk parts too.
I just picked one up with 6700 original miles and 1 owner! It's almost in mint condition, I did rebuild the carb though amd got the exact same tires you got, ha! $450 bucks!
That's a bargain! I got mine for 500 but have but another 500 into lol, I should have gotten one in better shape but it's been a great bike to learn maintenance on
@@albertcampos959 ah yeah that would explain getting one in good shape for so cheap, I was stoked to get mine with the title for 500. Cleaned the carb and it fired right up
I actually finally took them off the other day since they were rusted, unfortunately I didn't get the windshield when I got the bike. I have to do the headgasket soon
I was so close to getting a CB900 but didn't have the cash to spare, now I regret missing out lol. Old Hondas are the best, so easy to work on and parts are cheap and easy to find!
@@Jaysqualityparts I stand to make a good profit! But thankfully it's devalued by the recovered title and poor cosmetic condition, so I won't ever be able to get more than it's worth to me! As soon as my shop is done I am gonna be taking it down and doing a full full restoration.

Love it. Impossible to get the oxidation off the engine covers. I've tried everything.

@@BonesMcoy well in all honesty, it belonged to my buddy's father who passed away so he basically just GAVE it to me at $450.

got mine for $250 but has quite a bit more miles lol only 2nd owner though...
Had one of these in the90's.. loved that bike
It's the one I've kept the longest, as soon as I have a shop I'll be doing a full restoration on it!
That bike used to have a windshield, the mounts are still on the bars.

good find.. looking for one myself. njoy
Sweet find!
Thank you!
Nice bike! I just picked up the same bike. Same color.
I really like it, I need to make more videos about soon. I haven't been able to ride it much because I can't get the front brakes to bleed
@@BonesMcoy tip! Use a large surgical syringe with a long rubber tube. Works for me :-)
Nice bike. Got a cb550k myself nothing better than old Honda’s

steel wool most likely comes from machine shop scraps...
