Really unique perspective hearing the bike owner talk about the night! Mike seems cool as hell and I’d love to see a tour of his garage with all the leathers! “It’s all fuccered up” is a great quote😂.
This is great stuff. Now I've seen Sammy breathing clean air on both his own XR750 and now the Rotax. The excellence of these fine videos may have allowed me to update my flat track education from back in the 60's. Maybe I've solved the mystery of how you guys can burn your brakes up while going 40 plus mile per hour faster than we did back then. On the XR750 it sounded to me like Sammy only touched the brake without letting up on the throttle. It seems like that with the Rotax he was riding the flywheel out of 2 and 4. I don't know if he lost "cam" from the brake action or reduction in throttle? I'm grateful for the good quality audio because without it I wouldn't have a clue and am still only making educated guess. From the second heat I gather that the big wheel just says let's keep on going!
On the traditional flat track framed bikes, its typically more comfortable to have the bars pull back closer to you, you cant scoot up on the gas tank like on a MX bike.
@@sammyhalbert cool. thanks. I knew there had to be a reason, just didn't know what it was. I've always liked flat track racing, there's just nowhere here in the southeast to watch it live. I'm glad that now with so many sports channel I can catch it somewhere.
Good stuff, Slammy.
Glad you are OK.
and yes, that Rotax is a freakin weapon
When Sammy is done picking his scabs, we'll start contract negotiations for a potential do-over.
Great edit, my man. You make the vids I imagine when I start editing. Then I get frustrated and hit upload. haha
Haha thanks ya it’s a process right.
I did the same thing when i was racing at square deal in harpersvill on my 250
Not ideal 🤦🏻♂️

That is gold right there!
I can design better Thumbnails for you in cheap price
would you like to see a sample
Whqt capacity is the Rotax?
680cc !
Probably the best big bore Rotax ever built. Michaels put a ton of work in it , and it shows. Good ride Sammy.
Sammy , I think I recognize the blond girl from the Netflix "sprint" series. Great 200 performance!
haha is there a blonde girl in this video?
@sammyhalbert oh yeah , smokin blond running to your aid! Hahaha..she came in 2nd but was changing hard
Haha oh ya I was pretty out of it at that point 🤕
@sammyhalbert Slamin in style my man!
I think you had that one in the bag dang it ...
Right, it woulda been a fun race.
Don’t be SLAMMIN YIURSELF!
Ya no more of that
I broke my shoulder doing the same thing
ugh highsides are the worst
That arm looks like Menno after hungary 😂
Hahaha yeah it does. Scabby season
Why do you have the weird looking rounded bars? I'm sure that it must be a benefit to them but what is it? They look awkward to use.

The only “bump” was a rut/!hole in 4, on the exit.
