      Seattle showing how the US takes something that has been done well in other countries and ruins it...this so called protected lane is an abomination compared to what is standard in the Netherlands.

    Did you notice the dork didn't stop @ the Stop sign? Most bike riders don't obey the signs. If I were an av

    was fast forwarded. If anything that should be a yield sign there instead of a stop sign because it's a simple intersection.

    We need stuff like this in England. Cycle lanes, routes here are everywhere and are very much used, but not safe compared to American cycle lanes.
    England even has had to ask New York transport department for help, on designing safer bike lanes.

      kindness ARK The Dutch have better cycling infra than this, we should be aiming for that instead.

      04smallmj But even the US has better bike lanes than England does. The US might not be as vast or as good as US bike lanes, but new lanes are certainly better than the British bike lanes.
      Saying that though London is building an epic look segregated 8 mile cycle highway. Im going to London next year to try it out. =)

    Actually as a cyclist myself here, and in defense of most riders here, there are many streets where we have to roll stop or creep up past a stop sign just to be able to see traffic from both sides before crossing the street. There is nothing wrong with doing that because it is a safety reason. As far as the rider going past that stop sign, he came upon an intersection that was EMPTY. And from what I can tell even he did slow down a bit and looked both ways even though that part of the video
