Angelina has performed here before at 8yo (and possibly at 11yo). 2022 is for some reason the last year of the festival. What is not clear is that this performance is the second of two performances of this song back-to-back (with about a minute or so in between). There was some sort of audio/recording glitch and Angelina was asked to please repeat it (and she complied). A few weeks later at another outdoor concert (July 10), she performed a 15-song concert, then 2 encore pieces, then "I Have Nothing" to close the evening! That concert had songs first performed in 8 of the last 9 decades! What other artist has the confidence to do such things, what 16yo?! Keep the "10"s coming! Nice reaction. This was performed soon after she got off a plane in Norway. It is also the second time she performed it due to some technical problems with the TV broadcast and windy conditions. So, as good as it is, it was performed under some difficult conditions. She has some better performances a few days later, live and a studio release. I agree you should go back and watch Angelina earlier performances. Albert Tenfoot made some great suggestions below. Rusty Shackleford is also a great source of information about her. Just a point of interest. The original song was in the key of G. Angelina's version here is a minor 3rd lower in the key of E. She recorded this song before when she was 13 and it was in the original key. I believe Whitney did it in the key of G. However, she killed in both keys. It's unfortunate you chose the live concert video... Sorely lacking conditions here... Probably jet lagged, windy, cold and this is the 2nd time she had to sing it to technical issues... Still does a bang up job, but the Studio Version is awesome.... Anyway, in both versions, she incorporates much more emotion along with all the different "ornaments" in her voice... This is not her normal eye coulor but contact lenses. She has beautiful soul full brown eyes but we don't see it any more. The lenses actually look could and impersonal. One watch her on RUclips from when she was very small until a while ago when she change her eye coulor. Will never get used to it because for me a very personal and soulfulness of Angelina disappeared.

Great. ENjoyed your comments! This event is a "sing-along" event and occurs at a fort bordering Norway and Sweden. Angelina has performed here before at 8yo (and possibly at 11yo). 2022 is for some reason the last year of the festival.
What is not clear is that this performance is the second of two performances of this song back-to-back (with about a minute or so in between). There was some sort of audio/recording glitch and Angelina was asked to please repeat it (and she complied). A few weeks later at another outdoor concert (July 10), she performed a 15-song concert, then 2 encore pieces, then "I Have Nothing" to close the evening! That concert had songs first performed in 8 of the last 9 decades! What other artist has the confidence to do such things, what 16yo?!

Nice reaction. This was performed soon after she got off a plane in Norway. It is also the second time she performed it due to some technical problems with the TV broadcast and windy conditions. So, as good as it is, it was performed under some difficult conditions. She has some better performances a few days later, live and a studio release. I agree you should go back and watch Angelina earlier performances. Albert Tenfoot made some great suggestions below. Rusty Shackleford is also a great source of information about her. Just a point of interest. The original song was in the key of G. Angelina's version here is a minor 3rd lower in the key of E. She recorded this song before when she was 13 and it was in the original key. I believe Whitney did it in the key of G. However, she killed in both keys. Sadly, Angelina’s paternal grandfather died in March 2018 and her maternal grandfather died in November 2019. Angelina’s maternal grandmother Mery Zamani has had tremendous influence on Angelina and her career as she introduced Angelina to jazz at early age. Mery is somewhat famous Iranian contemporary writer, poet and painter who was also child prodigy herself being on Radio Iran's Children program at age 4 and began writing poetry and painting by age of 9. Later Mery was trained in art at Tokyo Academy in Japan where she met her Japanese husband, during her master degree's training in Japan. Strickly (genetically) speaking, she isn't Norwegian. Dad is Swedish. Her mother was born of Iranian and Japanese parents, raised in Japan. Angelina was born, raised & educated in Norway. She a child of the world.
My mom is 75% Norwegian and 25% Swedish…the Swedish part comes from her biological father who was..not nice (I talk about him in my video about my Nana who was 100% Norwegian here: ruclips.net/video/4-xi4j13LGg/видео.html ) so I just say I’m 50% Norwegian lol
It is not an octave lower, just 1.5 tones lower. Original (studio) is G major, this one is E major.
Thank you for the correction! I didn’t think it was an entire octave higher. It (the key) just sounded higher to me. After editing it and listening to it again, I thought maybe it might have been in the same key. I couldn’t tell after that. I could tell her voice was lower than the key it was in though - which sounded lovely.

Not only is the Official version the best it has the potential to vastly outstrip the other versions by the end of the year if not earlier.

It's unfortunate you chose the live concert video... Sorely lacking conditions here... Probably jet lagged, windy, cold and this is the 2nd time she had to sing it to technical issues... Still does a bang up job, but the Studio Version is awesome.... Anyway, in both versions, she incorporates much more emotion along with all the different "ornaments" in her voice... While still staying fairly true to the original... She doesn't have to sing at the top of her voice... Just from the bottom of her heart... 😉🎵🎶🎤
This is not her normal eye coulor but contact lenses. She has beautiful soul full brown eyes but we don't see it any more. The lenses actually look could and impersonal. One watch her on RUclips from when she was very small until a while ago when she change her eye coulor. Will never get used to it because for me a very personal and soulfulness of Angelina disappeared.
