Our actual national anthem is quite gloomy and gives me a bad taste as it is also the anthem of the formerly dominant and now pro-China political party, the Kuomingtang/KMT (國民黨). One controversial lyric in particular is 吾「黨」所宗：黨 means “political party” in Chinese, specifically the KMT in this context, though some argue the character can also mean “group” in general. Meanwhile, the flag anthem praises our beautiful land (山川壯麗，物產豐隆), encourages resilience (毋自暴自棄), innovation (毋故步自封), and unity (同心同德，貫徹始終), and also acknowledges those who fought for Taiwan to become a true democracy (創業維艱，緬懷諸先烈，守成不易，莫徒務近功) ^^ (Yes I know there is an alternate set of lyrics for the Chinese Taipei flag, but no one actually gives a shit 😆 Even those watching the game in Paris were singing the “real” lyrics)
As a Taiwanese, I really thank you for making this video! The reason why Taiwan uses "Chinese Taipei" to participate Olympic is because of China. Of course "One China policy" exists, and it forces Taiwan to use different names and flags to participate in global events. None of us wanted this, but we had no choice.

It’s refreshing to see that many parts of the world are waking up and starting to recognize us again. Still, I hope I may live to see the day our real flag is raised when our athletes make the podium. The flag anthem can stay though, I feel much happier and more patriotic singing it.
Our actual national anthem is quite gloomy and gives me a bad taste as it is also the anthem of the formerly dominant and now pro-China political party, the Kuomingtang/KMT (國民黨). One controversial lyric in particular is 吾「黨」所宗：黨 means “political party” in Chinese, specifically the KMT in this context, though some argue the character can also mean “group” in general.
Meanwhile, the flag anthem praises our beautiful land (山川壯麗，物產豐隆), encourages resilience (毋自暴自棄), innovation (毋故步自封), and unity (同心同德，貫徹始終), and also acknowledges those who fought for Taiwan to become a true democracy (創業維艱，緬懷諸先烈，守成不易，莫徒務近功) ^^
(Yes I know there is an alternate set of lyrics for the Chinese Taipei flag, but no one actually gives a shit 😆 Even those watching the game in Paris were singing the “real” lyrics)

taiwan is china, even the ROC says it, they have chinese customs, traditions, architecture, they speak chinese are han chinese, nothing related to the island itself, 90% of the world says that "taiwan" is part of the PRC, and if not of the PRC it is 100% part of china, thats why the government on the island is called 中華民國 (Republic of China), not Republic of Taiwan. so before you post anything, get educated.
