I have Borderlne Personality Disorder, it is supposed o be similar to PTSD, Bipolar, dissociative personality disorder (Formerly named: multiple personalty disorder) and even Anxiety disorders ..... but I can't see the similarities with Psychosis or Schitzophrenia.

Id like to point out some things: Anubis was actually a protector of the dead. He helped souls cross the challenges of the underworld of Duat until they reach the gods to be judged. Also, Thanatos was cetainly fearsome to the ancient greeks, but not meant to be challenged. They did, however, believe in attaining glory in life to the point where their memory lives on after going to Hades.

I think the point Max makes is that the way a culture perceives one godly figure shapes the way the culture behaves regarding the feeling or pulsion the god represends.
so possibly Norsemen were afraid of death and made those gruesome sacrifices in order to appease their god, and their fears.
Christians fear Satan so they behave well to avoid being cast to Hell, etc.

The ultimate message of Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice is how to learn to be strong enough to, simply put, accept and deal with the things we go through in life (in the game's case, the psychosis and grief Senua is afflicted with) in the best way possible in order to overcome our inner demons surrounding those things and to make life more bearable for ourselves. The game also did pretty much a great job of tackling loss and attachments, and how such attachments to someone or something (whether towards something in real life or in fiction), and the lengths we'll go to satisfy that, can be needlessly burdensome and pointlessly self-destructive (if not mutually destructive).
It all culminated in HB:SS's final battle, that the only way to overcome it, is to stop and let go of the pointless struggles. That trying to keep holding on and keep shouting it loud will only torment ourselves more.
Only by convincing ourselves to be strong enough to understand and come to terms with this tragic reality, that we can be free and move on to something more worthwhile.
It's pretty much the approach that I put to practice when I got to play Nier: Automata, as I've brought up in your video on said game, quote:
I also learned to look at Ending E in the mindset of Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice's finale and ending. Yes, HB:SS's ending at a glance is certainly antithetical to what N:A's Ending E stood for, but that's *the* point. Instead of trying to keep on deluding ourselves till the very end by fighting the game, etc., the _better_ path would be to simply come to terms with it, admit defeat, let go of the characters (who have already done so, especially 9S in Ending D), move on, and be strong enough to live with the fully bitter reality check of N:A *(I skipped Ending E after earning C and D and manually deleted my save afterwards).* [...] Only by letting go of the meaningless (at least towards something fictitious as a video game), we can finally free ourselves from that burden, and be free into doing something more meaningful elsewhere in life. /unquote
PS: It's also that same approach we can only take in response to your question in your N:A video, "are we doomed?", when confronted with that game's ultimate existentialist message (because we _already_ are).

It's having deduced they most likely don't have to deal with it as they are applying a /rational/ way of handling a reality submerged in psychosis. Video games have always been an escape for so many individuals around the world, and yet it is so sad and upsetting that a combination of mass shootings and politics might take them away from us, I would hate to live in a world like that, and seeing that the basis of this video is Hellblade and the psychological experience the main protagonist has to endure really feels like a coincidence at this time.
I say that because the problem with our country now is people fearing everything around them and many just being afraid of the things they hear about on the news and social media and their worst fears from those stories get projected onto their daily lives and they become erratic and paranoid, and the mass shooters are definitely regular people who have lost their inner battle with their own ID/Darkness and became evil monsters that put fear in the entire country, where everyone that lives here in America is afraid to go out and do anything because of these lost individuals who become mass shooters.
At times life imitates art and vice versa, it’s really a crazy and sad time to be alive in America and it’s because everyone is at war with not only each other, but themselves.
Be safe out there everyone, you too Max.

I have been through depression and watching this I could relate, how it felt. But honestly, this franchise is even more depressing, since we see the personified version of psychosis and depression. Instead I like Batman and Kratos(2018), as they have guided me to be focused and strong. And the only way I donot fall into that abyss again is by pre occupying my mind with something very ambitious in real life, like all INTJ, I have capability to be very creative, but I just need to let go of the past. And I always think of one more possible situation that might push me into depression again, the death of my parents. And I think I am mentally prepared for it.

The gameplay was too simple and repetitive for me but that's ok. Not all games need to be deep mechanically. This experience won't be remembered for it's gameplay and I suspect the developers are fine with that.
What put me off during playing the game was the voice acting. It was too theatrical for me. This really diminished my enjoyment. It's one of the reasons I like this game when looking back at at, but not so much when playing it.

I was really hoping for the full story to be explained so that I can recap before the next game is released. Interesting content and all, but didn't really explain the story in full.

But why in the hellblade 2 trailer, there are many other warriors fighting with senua a giant. If all the warriors could see the giant, it would mean that it really exist and is not just in her mind. If giants exist in this world, there is no reason to gods exist as well.

Max could you examine Napoleon Bonaparte. I’ve studied him and found him to be extremely inspirational and heroic not some short micromanaging dope. It would be cool if you did a character study on him and possibly Napoleon the third. I find those two to be so odd because they started at the very bottom and made it to the top through seer persistance alone and sadly fell back down.

Satan is not a God of death in Christianity. Satan is a God of no kind and a ruler of nothing. Jesus christ rules over life and death and we as mortals were giving the keeper of death called time. Don't blaspheme Christianity, thanks.

Wow. Just wow 👏👏 So is Senua living in that Era? I am asking because when she's talking with Dilion it apears that he's "modern" for ex: Clothes, face, even what he talk etc.... i dunno, maybe i am just confused 🤣🤔Great, great game 👏👏 Let's hope that part 2 is good or better than this One.
