- Did you know that you don't need to spend hundreds of dollars to dehydrate fruit, vegetables, herbs and spices? If you have a green house, even one of those temporary green houses, they work great for dehydrating food. You really don't need to have any fancy equipment, just something to put the items on. In this video you will see how we took a $35 drying rack and used it inside our green house to dehydrate a bunch of items for this winter.
