The 650r is a plain sports bike, its just not a supersport. Look at what are actual sport tourings and you'll notice a huge difference. it also performed really well against the zx6r, there´s not that big of a difference in top speed.
Both are fast and quick off the line and powered by Inline 4 engine. Honda is less powerful but more comfortable for longer rides. Kawasaki is more powerful but has a more aggressive riding position which makes it ideal for track and canyon carving yet uncomfortable after 1 hour of riding. Given the choice I'd take the CBR 650R. More relaxed riding position with more than enough power to have fun with.
That is not CBR 600rr.. Comparison should be zx6r vs cbr600rr.. 650r is a sports Toured bike... And 600rr is pure sports bike ... And CBR 600rr can easily eat zx6r any day

But I would say the Ninja 650 is a cbr500r competitor since they have a closer power output and both have 2 cylinder engines. But the Ninja 650 would be in between the cbr500r and the cbr650r in terms of real world performance.

@@goter9teciThere’s lots of videos with it going 155+. I contacted Honda before I bought mine. They said in the areas where they have to put a “speed limiter” for regulatory reasons they put it at 149 mph - so Honda expects it to go faster than that😳.

You should be compering the cbr 600rr 2022 not the 650, that 650 isn't meant for racing it was made for sports touring.
