How many players actually spend real money on every new character that comes out? I think most players don't buy the characters so the term skippable confuses alot of people. Don't "skip" any character, just unlock as many stars f2p as possible and don't level up the character until you know it's worth leveling them.

She's a great release. Not a must but good. Hopefully these keep coming and reworks keep coming. We might get BALANCE. Scoply, research balance in video games

I'm wondering if they're releasing some of these changes because of the upcoming Grand Tournament. More teams and more flexibility in your roster could be a big difference maker when/if that mode finally launches.
I think your Grand Arena is a valid point, yet the game ultimately is about resources..how high are you willing to build these teams..the Ravengers can beat BO but BO was many ppls arena team..are you gonna build Ravengers to that level w T4's for that? Even Web Warriors which I need being newer, but for a vet player likely has still put in quite a few resources in Spiderman and Miles..the G14 and G15 is still there..so idk what the best answer is. I don't have Phoenix or really much of the X-Men built so I am not going hard for her!

This was the same issue with Shadowland. Do what you think is best. Not everyone needs to have the same exact teams in this game. I know they think otherwise. But you can be a little different and still be very effective in all areas of this game.
well this is the idea ,you're right. But then they released 2 super op pay to win characters and it makes all other teamcombo useless.

I think the better question is how do they compare to the other mutant War teams that they would be competing with for gear. Is it worth building them up versus xforce or xfactor? Because that's their real competition.
I think you guys are forgetting that most players are NOT spenders and if you are F2P the ONLY place to earn cores is the arena, so the Arena is literally 100% of my priority. Everything else stems from that. Second, if you aren't spending money on every character, then the most difficult and resource (core) intensive part IS actually unlocking a 5*. I managed to get Ikaris to 5* but it cost me 5000+ cores from my reserve. That's about the same amount I need to invest into Sersei's campaign to 5* her. So, when F2P players ask "Are they skippable?" don't say "Just get a 5*" because that's the majority of the investment right there. Everyone at 5* is already a luxury reserved for spenders and a few vigilant, meticulous planners who figure out exactly how much cores something will cost and budget for it in advance and don't spend cores anywhere else.
Uncanny 2.0 will dominate the B-tier and below of the meta, but will get wrecked by the truly great teams.

I only picked her up because I got a 6RS drop for her. Would've skipped her otherwise. My Uncanny also have a lot of red stars. Think my Storm has 6RS, my Cyclops has 7RS, and my Psylocke has 7RS. Phoenix has 5 and Colossus has 4. Just need to get Colossus and Phoenix a little higher in RS and they're pretty solid.
Mine are similar. I have 6 red for Colossus and Cyclops. Also Psylocke, but she's not on the team anymore. Then I got 5 red for Magik, Phoenix and Storm.

Cores help f2p get new characters higher stars, they help progress faster through refreshing. Arena still priority over all

"skippable" for me means L65 G12 6/6/6/4 5Y* and then rest until/if otherwise required
189 characters, and they're constantly adding new ones. Gold needs to be more common, like extremely...games are supposed to be fun (something scoply and boundless struggle understanding apparently??). If you can't upgrade and use new characters, what's the point? We should have more resources so we can mess around and experiment more. Make a game fun and the spending will follow.

700k symbiotes do good enough in doom 2. As of now
Philosopher had a good point theres 15 new toons to upgrade in 2 months. You can build them all to purple or gear 12 but probably shouldn't build too many to the max
I have a 680k Symbiotes and they get wrecked in Doom 1 on the boss node. Is Doom 2 easier, or am I doing something wrong?

@@joshuas193 make sure no one gets a cleanse and isn't that the one with negasonic just let the bleeds kill her don't worry about attacking her and keep her stunned so she doesn't waste clock time taking turns.

I don't think so. They won't get money from that since most players have Ravagers unlocked. Web Warriors is a possibility since they have 2 old characters and 3 new characters which is the path that Scopely always take.
@@jakebarrios7421 everyone had kree minions unlocked too but not built. However nick fury was still part of omega red. People are going to build web warriors anyways. However if you have to build ravagers for the unlock then you’re burning materials which are already super scarce. Especially since it’s going to be a mythic unlock. This intensifying of the resources bottle neck will put players in more difficult positions in the future and possibly promote them to spend money. They don’t need people to spend on web warriors because tons of people will be spending on them anyways.

T challa with the ability energy steal on his special will have some use.
I’ve used my boomer in 2.0 and he’s hit or miss. For the record he g15, all abilities are t4 and iso blue level 1 raider. Problem is they don’t have the health/armor to tank too many hits. Yondu might be the most useful one due to steal the positive effects and his summons.
I'll try and get her when she like actually releases rather than wallet farmable but I'm not going to really care when we know web warriors is right around the corner
Who cares about the meta, I collect the heroes I like and Magik is one of my all time favorite!

As boomer in the past had little value to training material and now they are around $2 an orb

Why do you need them to tell you her value? That's up to you and what you're willing to spend or put into a character.

Shouldn't you be able to look at the kit and determine if you need her or not. And if she is worth the price to obtain her earlier than when she is available for free?
There is a simple test you can do... Fight teams using Uncanny, with and without Magik...
If the team wins with Magik, but loses without her... That will answer the question.
PS. I don't plan to be distracted by 5.9 patch characters
I just want to say, while players build web warriors, I will build Elsa Bloodstone... and just wait for you to dodge the consequences!

Philosopher already tested her. The results weren't terribly great.
Ghost spider has a counter to Elsa, plus the web warriors don’t really have a lot of dodge in their kits except for miles and spider man. Dodge is different than evade.

SWGOH ... they have been a mess... but one thing they do, some may say smartly, is they give their customers every new character... it is then the choice of the players to upgrade or not, and to invest money or not.. i know when i have a 6RS new character, i am more apt to want to get that toon to 6RS... Scopely is so focused on one way to gain money that they dont see there are other ways to get people to spend..... because of what they have been doing over the last 4 years, if they change it will take a bit for them to see the increase because we are so worn down by their TRASH .. but be kind to your players and they will be kind to you .

To be honest its not a good feeling spending 50 dollars and just shelving that character.
She is the second character i ever bought in this game. Level 85 G15 Blue Iso 2, which is the highest i can build any character at this point in the game. Is she the best? No. Am i happy with her? Yes!!!!

Rem is probably leaning more into Web Warriors than ordinary players should. Symbiotes will do you fine all the way up to Doom 2, and are farmable. Web Warriors are only worth dumping your resources into if you're a kraken like Rem and are going to pay through the nose to make farming them irrelevant. Unlock them at the maximum stars you can, but don't start pouring investment into them until you actually need them, by which point they'll hopefully be farmable.

Magik is such a bad character, totally useless, it's a shame. I'm really tired of this game and its bullshit. Not a single character in this 2 months patch is usefull... (Spideys? Yeah but you don't need them..). That's break my heart that scopely just make character like Shang Chi invincible and Magik is trash...
You two REALLY need to tone down your "shelving" recommendation. This BS puts you really deep into shill territory. Telling your audience to drop $50-100 on a character that does next to nothing to advance a roster is just promoting FOMO for Scopely. Completely whipped logic. The only players this makes sense for are people looking to spend x money each month no matter what.
Shelving ≠ spending. if you play the game enough you can unlock most through normal means.
