I was surprised to see you visited Slubbersholmen. May be you also visited Altarholmen a little bit further south. At Altarholmen my great grandfather was a pilot till 1903 when that pilot station was closed. I visited Slubbersholmen in the 1960s with my boat of a smaller sice than yours on a day sailing from Skärhamn on Tjörn Island. I realy like your videos, they are great. Have a good time.

I used to do a lot of singlehanded racing on a boat with a big overlapping headsail. Not the easiest thing to short tack. One of the things that help me was to always pull in the sheets with my thumbs pointing toward me. This let me pull in the line much faster because you could pull more than twice as much line with each pull. You might want to give it a try. Best wishes.

The tide is pretty low in the Skagerak and the Baltic - max 0,5m usually - even you can get 2m springtide in special occations where the low pressure , wind and tide all works together. Up the west coast of Norway the tide is significant when you get north of Ålesund and further....

Just did my deck with kiwigrip - very easy, looks great, clean. Nice thing about the product is if you go a little too light you can go over it again without trouble to beef up the nonskid, also you can vary the thickness of the paint to save product. Probably 2 quarts is all you need for your boat... I think I used 3 for my 37' but would have been better off I think if I bought 4.

You can use cork for a rot resistant, slip resistant and highly insulating comfortable flooring its naturally mould and anti bacterial.
You can stain it, paint it and seal it and it can be bought in different textures and thicknesses as tiles or on a roll.
Its even fire resistant naturally and can be made very 🔥 proof.

As someone interested in making things out of wood (primarily guitars), I've found that to buy wood 'cheaper', NEVER tell the lumber yard what you're doing with it.
They'll suddenly call it highly figured, boat quality, guitar quality etc and attempt to rip you off.

Great day! Good video. I just wanted to mention something from an Old Salt to a Younger Skipper 🤔. You should reef for winds like you had. The Boats only going to travel through the water so fast it’s putting tremendous loads on the rig and running rigging including the mainsheet and blocking. I just wanted to say something because I had to learn about when to reef because I was sailing the same as you and my friend who was teaching me the finer details showed me the reef! 🥺 it was faster, smoother, better for the wave interval, happy onboard not shaking and straining. Hull speed is real Brother. It’s Physics you can’t make her go faster than the waterline will allow. I started reefing early and it was so much better and it doesn’t matter how far you’re going. You reef if the winds up because if something is going to break it’s going to be under a load. Probably not at a convenient moment or location like when the mainsheet block attachment broke on the sail I was on beating into 27 knots full main and it parted the metal connecting it to the boom 🤯 and flopped around until I could pull the topping lift.🤓 oops.
I used a sail tie strap and lashed the block back onto the boom and game on but I also reefed the main. Good luck Brother I love the wood tiles I will be doing it too! Fair Winds God Bless! 😏❤️🖖🏼🇺🇸

Regarding stern anchor and bow tied up to the rocks.... I normally use a weight on my anchorline (connected to the anchorline with a hook and dropped down the line about 5-6 meters) when moored like this. Anchor holds better and you dont need to adjust the anchorline if slacking the bowlines 🙂 The weight I have is about 10 kg.
