We who live in the West never understand what is the meaning of poverty. Allah Subhana tala encourages humans in Quran to think about the purpose of everything we are surrounded by. What is Ramzan?? Why should we fast once a year?? What does mean fasting?? Why لیله القدر is important ?? A smart Muslim uses all he or she is given to flatten the path to Akhrat. All descriptions in Quran about the heaven or hell are not just describing how should Koffar will be punished, it is rather about the other world" Akhart" there is. اللهم اجعل عواقب امورنا خیرا
I’m really sorry but that “suhur party” is really weird Music? Women and men blended together?? massive amounts of food that would be wasted? I really feel uncomfortable for this kind of parties, suhur is waay more sacred than this mess I’m not surprised since tiktok hosts this kind of mess. I wish you all of luck and happiness and really wish you stay out of these kind of parties since it’s not acceptable in Ramadan.

But then you hear Dubai does Suhoor parties at 10pm, and suddenly the fantasy bursts and you thank God for guiding. This year I spent Ramadan in an Islamic country. I had the Best experience ever, especially during Laylatul Qadr. Sub7anAllah. The best feeling I loved was living across the mega masjid 24/7 and being able to come downstairs from hotel during 1am and see other Muslims walking to Masjid knowing they are preparing for Tahajud. It's a very tranquil and luxurious feeling. but I realized living as a Muslim in a non-Islamic country may be more rewarding because it strengthens tawakul for Allah without intermediaries your actions self driven from knowledge. When you live in an Islamic country, deviation or bidah is possible because you are following the customs of local ummah. In US, we tend to question the most minute details. I'm not sure which is better but it certainly is more peace of mind to live in a Muslim community 🙂 ibadaah is easier here. Waking up for Fajr was a no-brainer. This maybe because in a Muslim country your reality matches your values and inner thoughts, there is no contradiction, so your choice is carried out effortlessly. For some reason, in non-Muslim countries something simple like waking up during night is agonizing, because we live amongst so much contradictory conflicting realities that render us paralyzed. May Allah swt help us all 🤲 ameen.
That is why our scholars say when you live in a non Islamic country you have to put in mind that you will leave one day to an Islamic country once it is possible. This is what we call Hidjra in Islam. To move to where practising your worship acts is easier and permissible.
