Just got through watching on amazon and felt I needed to leave a comment. Feel it was under appreciated. Steve is a genius.. love the progression/downfall of Alan's career, did not see this one coming and he has me wondering what is next!?? 😄💕
Glad you enjoyed it, but for those of us who know the character well, the stand up routine is truly horrible (for example, Partridge would never use the word 'cunt', yet he's happy to do so here). Lowest common denominator writing & a world apart from his best material. Incredibly uncomfortable viewing. By far the worst thing Coogan and his writing team have ever produced.
@@AdAstra78It wasn't that bad. It was a very well put together show on the whole. It shouldn't have to be better than anything he's ever done to be good, but the problem is that it's being compared to everything he's ever done. Also the audience didn't help, the miserable bastards.
My son and I were so disappointed when the Bournemouth show was cancelled at 24hrs notice. Having now watched it on Amazon, I feel we had a lucky escape. Probably worse than his awful last live show in 2009ish.

@@MrJ2theC and this was the audience for the recorded show they put out. God only knows what the other audiences were like...yikes
Only god can smite him
Time to retire this character, brilliant in it's day but this was very poor
Silhouette dance
It was an absolute shambles of a show. One to be confined to the archives. Won't be holding a place in my Alan collection.
Agreed, was very poor. Some funny moments, but no structure to the show, and some awful tenuous bits (this being one of them)
As a massive Partridge fan I went, it was awful.
No it wasn't. The audience was the problem.
That's the point, This is not suppose to be comedy designed by Steve Coogan, but by Alan Partridge himself. I found it delightfully terrible 😂
Moribund?
He must know how good peak Partridge is, and therefore how very poor this show was.

When’s this coming to America? That classic fm remark was brutal 😂
Don’t know
watched the movie of this.. it had some good elements and classic alan partridge.. but the woke/trans/political messaging was too much. 2.5/10
