Nice review Jason! I concur this is great for RTTs, especially the thin hardshells whose ladder won't fit in the tent. I'm so glad I no longer need to carry a RTT ladder in the trunk after I installed a ladder on my FJ spare tire.
Thanks for being practically the only person to review this ladder. I'd love to hear how it's holding up. I know there are more "tough" ladders out there, but the lighter visual weight (if that makes sense) and way it follows the 4R's contours is more appealing to me.
@@JasonExplainsThings Installed mine today and realized my top plate (with 3M tape), like yours, is T-shaped. Prinsu's instructions doc & video show a rectangular plate. This complicates the "4 inch from cap" measurement. I winged it (no response from Prinsu) and it'll work, but I don't think it's technically correct.
Hey Jason, I'm sure CBI has run into the same thing as AEV and AEV doesn't include instructions as well for the reason when we have to do a running change to the instructions because parts may be needed to be redesigned or there was an update to the vehicle. This way we do not have to cut open every box and notify all our dealers that have our products in their inventory about a new step in the instructions. Plus it saves trees!
Do you think the 4Runner benefits from having a ladder installed?! Leave a comment and let me know!
Serious question, does it have any protective benefit? Seems like every vehicle I see has a nice dent in the back.
Um... probably not. It's pretty strong but I don't think it's designed for that.
Looks cooler, just like the molle panels. Don’t think they are that functional but they look cool.
Lols. No.
The widdle wadder to help you get out of the wittle bit of wain.
😂
Cool thing is that over a year later I might be actually using it soon! 🤩
I just learned how to install a vanity from a video you made four years ago and wanted to see if you were still making videos. Glad to see you are :)
Nice! Yeah the channel turned into a car & truck channel for the most part. :-)

Thanks! I hope to get my hands on a GFC Superlight RTT this year. Would be so much easier to use than the Tepui I've had for a while.

Yeah, it’s held up great.

Always loved how ladders look on cars, so great indeed

I get that. I just appreciate it when I purchase something pretty substantial that it includes instructions. Call me old fashioned! :-)
@@JasonExplainsThings Old fashioned!
The cool factor alone makes the ladder worth it. The ladder looks great as well as the 4runner!
Thanks!
Great stuff man!! Liked the honest review!
Great overview. Thorough as always. Thank you
Put 10 videos this is the best. Thanks a lot 😊
Noooo not drilling holes lol, nice install and great video 👍😁
I understand! They weren’t too bad. If you ever needed to remove it the holes could be plugged with some rubber plugs and it wouldn’t hurt anything.
That looks rad, nice!
Jason, the CBI Prinsu Affiliate Link in your description does not seem to work. Great video though!
Updated! Thanks very much for telling me! Hopefully that 5% off is still active.
Good stuff! Been looking at ladders for our new 4runner👍
Hello where's the video of you Changing the Toyota emblem front grille?¿?

One of the gripes I have about my 4runner is the lack of a powered back door. Why didn't you do that since you were replacing the lifters anyway?
Because I’m not a fan of power lift doors.
They've updated the ladder install halfway lol. I'm still not happy.
Awww cute widdle wadder
😂
Was your top plate looking a little crooked? Mine looks off and don't know if it was purposely cut that way to go with the contours of the rear hatch.
I believe it was at a slight angle, yes... so things cleared properly.
@JasonExplainsThings thanks man. Great video BTW. Yours is better than their install video!
Jason what do you recommend for my 2019 4runner I just want to level it out nothing crazy
Check out my Eibach suspension video from last year. Awesome suspension for the money.
Did it come with the new struts?
Nope. That’s separate.
@JasonExplainsThings thanks for the reply I noticed after I asked you had a link for them
I have the full roof rack from them and do not like the look on the ladder....looks like home made ladder to me
Cool. All opinions are valid. Personally I like it. I wasn’t to keen on it till I saw it in person.
