thanks a lot i was so happy to find this, despite you didnt fix it you inspired with a lot of ideas. What i found is two pieces i had exact same problem. Resistor replaced, but it smoked immediately again, i found the LDO 7533 - marked as U60 on PCB is short and mosfet too, replaced these as well and all good. thanks. hope this helps.

My HF222MFP has a shot motor, but while I'm taking it apart R60 is a 201 SMD resistor (200 Ω) if it helps anyone. 🤓

Shows you get what you pay for and these cheaply made machine have cheaply made pcbs in them .

Looks like the dirt buildup over that PCB may have caused an electrical arc or short, especially seeing as thats the usual method the PCB on the old Autosave Henries blow, by the carbon dust deposits from the exhaust air that pass over it. Poor design allowing such a large amount of dust through the motor, as there doesnt seem to be any kind of pre-motor filter on these, and they rely on the exhaust filters to clean the air. Also means the fans will get coated in dust and become noisy and out of balance. Crap machines, and the Vax equivalents from that era are just as bad. If you are going to get a cordless, get one with a pre-motor filter, which is most Sharks and all Dysons.

I have this model, only used it upstairs,it was working fine, then all of a sudden started to make a screaming sound very noisy, I changed the filter, no different. It’s going in the bin, not got time or the inclination to strip the thing down. I will never buy hoover make again, waste of money!

Came across your vid looking for some guide to take apart an H-100. Pulled it from the dumpster, checked it out a bit and saw that it was totally clogged with pet hairs (wouldn't be the first time I find a perfectly working Vax, thrown away only because folks are to lazy to clean it). After a thorough disassembly/cleaning of the head and wand I noticed that the motor made an odd sound and vibrated. So took it all apart and, gosh, the rotor snail was totally clogged up with hairs & dust. A wonder it still worked. But oddly, the housing and the PCB had only some very minor dust on it.

Exact same problem I've got with mine. I wasn't sure if it was the chip, or if it was the voltage regulator, as the chip feels cool to the touch, but the 3.3v voltage regulator IC (marked 7533) feels seriously hot when powered. Sadly main chip is unmarked, so looks like a bin hobby unfortunately. What a waste.

Sound like mine, the whole interior was full of thick dust. Evidently the seals are not much use at keeping smaller particles out of the inner workings. Trying to source a motor but it's looking a lot like e-waste now.

L'ho smontato. Sulla schedina elettronica, ancora pulita e senza polvere, noto un componente decisamente bruciato, R60 e forse anche D61 e C60.
Esattamente come compare nel video di Bekoa987!
    Che si può fare?
    Ovviamente senza portarlo in assistenza!

Ne sconsiglio vivamente l'acquisto. Pessimo prodotto.

The electric brush has a very tiny cable that turns around the rotation block, and it was cut by the movements ... additionally the button to keep it working without pushing anytime is broken . Bad bad designed product, a real Chinese trash one
