Awesome demonstration and good camera angles! Good endorsement of Argos. I always enjoy watching someone else on the end of the winch cable so really liked that sequence. 😊
Personally, I like to watch someone else do the winching too.😂 I wasn’t sure if I should show the winch scene or how to splice it together so it made sense, but didn’t take too long. Thank you for the feedback.
Really nice trailer! Follows so well with all the articulation in the neck and axles. Excellent video. Do a video on just the trailer features and function. Please!
I do have a video coming up where I take it all apart to do repairs on the frame and so people can see how it’s all built. Additionally, as per your request, I will do a trailer in the field video as well.👍🏽
When I first built the trailer, I put together a series of pics of the build and a little highlight reel of it in the field. I just went back and watched it to see if it showcase what you ask for. I will say, on a different note, it’s amazing how small my kids were. ruclips.net/video/53OX8aQ-L2g/видео.htmlsi=fDjk7lIAImpV_HJe
Very impressive! The way you maintain all of your equipment I wouldn't hesitate to join you just about anywhere. Now lets' see how the Argo does hauling out a big moose. Best of luck on the hunt!
Guys you could do with a couple of land anchors. Join them together on one winch cable , and the more stress you put on them , the deeper into the ground they grab.
To answer your question, it depends on what tracks you put on it. The Standard OEM tracks don't do so well, but it appears you have the Adair Tracks. Those do very well in mud and snow.
If Bill Dance can have Ranger Boats sponsor his fishing show, Argo needs to sponsor your moose hunting. You are a rolling advertisement for their product. Don Draper and Peggy Olson could not come up with better marketing than what you are doing with your videos. 👍
Thank you very much. I am running a Adair tracks on my machine. That said, I get a lot of questions about AK Bush tracks and I hear good things about them. I really should go out and meet with them and get more information about the product.
That’s a great question. The stock wheels and tires will go through a lot of different kinds of terrain very well: however, the tracks give the machine a lot more flotation in mud and bogs. So while they’re not required, it does improve the machines performance and mud significantly.
What kind of tracks do you have on? Are those the rubber Argo tracks? If so, do you use the ice cleats in the winter? Did you consider the Alaskan bush tracks? I'm looking to get some tracks for my Frontier but am still deciding on which ones. Thanks.
Great question: I have a buddy who has some older Alaska Bush Tracks and we have had our machines out together. His older, metal grouser tracks, are not my favorite. They now make the same tracks with UHMW plastic grousers, which I believe is a huge improvement. I do not any experience with the newer version. That said, the way the tracks are constructed they provide gear reduction and greater flotation than my tracks. At the end of the day, I think each track model has a place where it excels and places where they are not the perfect fit for the terrain. We were out together this fall and I did some filming of his machine, with the AK Bush Tracks, but have not started the editing process of that trip. In my buddy’s experience, the AK Bush Track folks work hard to support their products and are super knowledgeable.
I built this trailer with a buddy (we made two of them). I’ll drop a video in September that deconstructs it and shares how it was made and the dimensions.
I’m born and raised in Ak. And after all this snow I can’t wait to see the mud again lol.
Great ride!
I’m just getting into winter.😁 Last weekend was the Irondog and Susitna 100 and the Iditarod is in a week and a half. 🐕
We love our ARGO. It's one Kryptonite... getting high centered really easily. Glad it's not only us.
I believe this is the best Argo video I’ve seen
You’re also very skilled at operating it !
@@Lightandlovetoyou thank you very much for the kind words. I probably don’t have to say it was a fun trip.😉

Good luck on the hunt this year, here's hoping to no more bearing or track failures!
Thank you. So far so good, I feel like I did a pretty thorough job last winter going through everything.
Nothing better than driving the Argo through everything lol. And if you do happen to get stuck you pull out the winch and away you go lol!!!
Yes, it’s an amazing little machine.

That looks like a fun trip in the mud!

This was fun. Thanks for taking us along on your hunt. Hope you both were successful.

I really should get, it make, a ground anchor.

@@BigPoppaOnAQuad My tracks are Adair 👍🏽. And I would agree with your summation, they do very well in the mud.

Thank you for the very kind words, and I would be willing to drive around in a new Argo, if they really wanted me to.😁
I’ve always wanted to fit a shaft out the back and put a boat prop on it. I bet that would work
People do put a small outboard motor on the back of them.
@@RaisedinAlaska yeah I’ve seen that before but I think a shaft and prop coming out the back would be way more beneficial
@jaycevessier7554 If you were in and out of the water a lot, I’m sure it would be a great benefit.
They seem so loud and under powered
31 hp, the gearing makes them pretty invincible.
I love my newly acquired 2015 Argo 750HDi 8x8.
Great machine.👍🏽
Nice video. I like tracks + mud Argo videos best of all other.
Yes, there wasn’t that much mud in this video. I have way better mud in some upcoming videos.
Thank You for sharing this content. I hope to buy one of theese one day. Seeing others have mudding joy makes me happy to. :)@@RaisedinAlaska
@@WILDBEES_LATVIA Thank you for watching. They are totally different machine with tracks on them. It will go places that are downright scary.
Great video, hope you find a freezer filler.
Thank you. It has been a fun season.
Love your show. Are you using Adair Pros or Alaskan Bush tracks? Thank you.

Thank you for sharing
Thank you, it was a fun trip.
Just found your channel I live in Northern Maine. I’m wondering what part of Alaska do you live in?
I currently reside in Anchorage, but I’ve live in, and visit other portions of the state.
Are the tracks required for going through mud? Or are the stock wheels of the Argo good enough?
That’s a great question. The stock wheels and tires will go through a lot of different kinds of terrain very well: however, the tracks give the machine a lot more flotation in mud and bogs. So while they’re not required, it does improve the machines performance and mud significantly.

These tracks are Adair tracks. I have heard good things about AK Bush Tracks and the owner is very personable and knowledgeable.
Do you think AK bush tracks would be better or worse than yours? Thanks

Quite the machine, those are some rough trails. How many miles do you normally have to travel to hunt?
Really, the deeper you go the better. More often than not, I’m probably less than 10 miles in. I should go 20.
@RaisedinAlaska wow, that's a long ways!
@jacobzimmerman3330 On a good day it would be nice to not see another human.😁
Awesome. Machine 👍🏼💪🏻💙💙
Thank you, it is a the perfect machine for a certain niche of terrain.
Great job on the video
Thank you, this was a very fun trip.
Love my 2022 argo frontier 8x8
They are amazing machines.
that thing sure is loud. I wonder if a 2nd muffler would help?
I have thought about something like that.
You should hash tag argo in your title. Maybe you can get sponsored or get a job creating a commercial for them
Ignorant question here: If I hashtag them in the title, or in the description, will they see it? I don’t really know how the hashtag works in RUclips.
@@RaisedinAlaska I believe either works but it definitely works in the title and makes it stand out
Where can you get the trailer with the sides for the Argo?
I built this trailer with a buddy (we made two of them). I’ll drop a video in September that deconstructs it and shares how it was made and the dimensions.
@@RaisedinAlaska Alright perfect thanks so much!
@Keller615 You bet.
If you’re planning on building one and want to see the video for ideas I will see if I can share it with you before it drops.
is this aurora or hunt master
This is an HDI.
Mean machine!
It is an amazing little machine. It’ll go just about anywhere, but it doesn’t get there that fast.
@@RaisedinAlaska lol! I have an 8 wheeler avenger as well. I like being able to crawl over whatever the terrain brings over speed myself, for sure!
Nice video. I like tracks + mud Argo videos best of all other.
