You said it! When it’s a little more crosswind there’s a downdraft or sometimes a rolling action right when you clear the trees. Always have to be ready to add rudder and power to overcome. Love flying out of 28A. 😁
I have a 68 Piper 140, same cockpit you have and fly out of 4G2. 2,430 feet long ,30 feet wide, the sight picture on your 22 is like 01 at 4G2, is very familiar. I know how tricky this can be, you did a great job.
Was it the camera angle or was there an airplane nose diving in the bushes as the end of those hagars on the right? Great video by the way. I have a 67' 140 and enjoy some of your tips .
Yes it is! I love it. It's a little bulky at the top, so if you're in a low cockpit your headset will hit the roof. However, that is rare with single engine aircraft. Overall it's very comfortable around the ears and on top of the head.
So, I train at Goose Creek right now. I would love the extra air time if you’d ever want someone to just tag along. Would be more than willing to share cost if your interested.
Not been flying for 14 years, aiming to revalidate my PPL in the UK, nice video, brought all my memories back on how to land my favourite single.
Thanks! I appreciate the kind words!
Your videos seem to have better picture quality than when you started, Keep the videos rolling.
Thanks! I’m trying new editing techniques. 😁
You make it look easy. I am still working on my PPL from 28A and have landed on Rwy22 in gusty conditions, and it definitely takes skill.

Did you have carb heat out when you pulled back to idle?

Thanks for the kind words. YES. That is a C172 that had an accident a few months back. Pilot was hurt but survived.
Is that a DC H20-10X?
I just purchased one! I don't see it around much. How is your experience?

Hey! I’ll definitely take you up. I haven’t been out there a lot lately. How are the flight lessons going?
That iPad on the yoke would be distracting to me
