Read the description to understand this is the very first time this car has been driven for probably 50 years, maybe more. Getting used to the controls, heavy steering, poor lock, central accelerator and ignition setting makes a cautious start! I have since driven the car thousands of miles and it has proved robust and reliable.

Wow but you have lot of French cars , Hotchkiss and this model was rare see very rare in France ^^ ! It's a 6 lateral glass limo in addition if i'm not mistaken ? It's a very hight class car of his time for very wealthy persons . I know that English have lot of vintage cars =) . Here we search for her , because of WWII & Wreck prime to change for new car , all the vintage are rare today here . It's just a shame , but that's it , no choice . Few month ago , i was owner of a Renault R5 Super campus from 1984 n°120 for this special series , to restaure it OMG impossible to purchasse in France for a good price certain specifics parts , because even Renault brand don't have them , but infortunatly a guy with his brand new Golf shiii pushed me from behind and i ended up with her in a tree.. P.S : Sorry if my english isn't very good , in my country , France , the country of naughty guys , almost no one want to speack just for fun you know , other language than french .
Hi Frederic, thanks for your enthusiastic comments. Yes this is a great car. It was owned by an embroiderer in central France and I did manage to find his grandson who still lives in the same street. There are only about 15 left worldwide. Very well engineered and tough, I use mine every week weather permitting but its a heavy car to drive, a bit tiring for me on longer trips. People love it as it is so original and has a great patina. I have owned lots of French cars, 750, Dauphine, 2CV, Scenic 4x4, we English are all Francophiles really! Thanks for your comments.

Yes I absolutely agree! All the fittings like the door handles etc. are from the horse drawn coachbuilt days. And it does have a slightly sinister look, but Hotch is a very friendly car really and much admired.
Grand old lady a beautiful motor car from elegant past built not bought unlike the rubbish they throw together now!

Basically a stagecoach on a motorcar chassis. This type of car used to frighten me vaguely as a boy because they look so sinister.
