Going back to the 80s Ichan is the poster boy for corporate raider. He, like his other raiders, deserve SOME credit for shaking up complacent managers and freeing up underperforming assets. It’s really ironic that Ichan talks about reputation. His MO is to leverage to the teeth, and then liquidate. Carl has never built or run anything in his life. He’s a numbers guy. He’s a liquidator. He’s a grave dancer. All tolled, he’s been bad for most businesses he’s been involved in, though not for himself. Ackerman is right about Ichan.
