Being free of the corporate grind is the definition of Freedom for me. You have already won the race of life. I’m still on the corporate rat wheel and hope to get off in the next 5-10 years 🙏🏾
2025 goals: max out two 50+ 401ks ($62k), max out 50+ HSAs (approx. $7,500), increase emergency fund from 6 to 12 months and cash flow a new fence and other home improvements.
Great 2025 goals & planning😊 Our goal is a 3 month emergency fund, low spend, & keeping up w/ exercise. I’m not Disciplined with it except gentle yoga.🧘♀️
Nice Goals, here are my 2025 Financial Goals: - Have a Net Worth of around 450K - Pay Off my Mortgage at the end of the year (27K left to pay) - Increase my Emergency Fund from 15K to 30K - Max out my Pension plan - Frugal living and no buy months. - Pay off Debt of 3.900 - Start of Investing, because I've put it off. Context: I am 35 years old living with my partner and on our way to financial independence.
I'm sure you will smash your goals! My goals are a little hazy, since I retire part way through the year, so have some adjustments to make. I know that I do want to get my little handcrafted business up and running, and start an Etsy shop, selling my products. I would like to start a RUclips channel, but that feels very daunting, not sure how brave I am in doing that. I know I need to spend some money on my garden, getting it tamed and productive. My home needs to become my nest, meeting the needs of the me of today. Need some encouragement with all this!
Great video Leila. You set out to be self employed and did it! So incredibly proud of you and humbled to follow you on this journey. I remember when you still had a lot of student loan debt and LOOK AT YOU NOW! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family.
My main goal is to be better prepared for the holidays. Usually I rely on some extra income that i get in October and November, but this year I spent it on a holiday. I will start a sinking fund specifically for this, Happy Christmas to you and all your followers and looking forward to seeing you crack 2025 x
Super excited to see you reach these goals in 2025!! You’ve crushed your goals so far and I know you can do it 🎉💪🏼 In 2025 my goal is to maintain/build income streams and reduce/keep monthly bills steady. To help with this I just signed up for Mint Mobile with your link! Happy Holidays Leila and have an amazing 2025!!
I’m so excited to watch you crush these goals in 2025! Love the six figure business goals and increasing your investing. My 2025 Goals are 1) Max 401K, HSA, and Roth IRA and 2) Contribute 65K to my brokerage account
love these goals! thank you for sharing! my goals: finish my estate plan (trust + will) get car fund to $5k ($1k right now) ➡ prepping for the 20-3-8 rule w/car purchases invest $65k (10% more than 2024) // 💫 stretch: invest $130k make $10k passive income (currently $0) make $10k non-passive small business (currently $0) net worth $550k (currently $450k. can't control how the market does, but this is a soft target) 💫 stretch: make $501k in total income & go on an epic ski trip
I have the same feeling regarding emergency fund, it’s just a lot of cash to be sitting in a low interest HYSA. My Emergency Fund goal for 2025 is 5K. My other financial goal is to invest 100K.
My goals $2000 next year to Roth ira Continue 10% to 401k (includes the match ) Pay 230$ extra every month towards high interest debt (personal loan @9.8%) Savings keep it at 13.5k (includes 1.5 month emergency ) as we have lot of big expenses next year My checking rollover is at 3k so that covers min payments to all debts
2025 goals: invest $20k in 401k, add $10k to my emergency fund, pay off the majority of my consumer debt, and travel to Korea for my 4th qedding anniversary.
Appreciate the detailed breakdown! I need some advice: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How can I transfer them to Binance?
@ gotcha! I hope you keep your personal stuff. She got rid of transfer Tuesday and most of her personal content so I unsubscribed. 😢. Please keep your personal stuff lol!
How are you calculating NW? It sounds like you are just counting liquid assets as net worth. It also sounded like you may be paying a 1k+ mortgage? (Or maybe it's just rent). If mortgage you need to include equity in net worth. This is house value minus mortgage. Do you have an HSA? It sounded like you have a HDHP already. If so, setting up an HSA and maxing it should be your highest priority after any match.
I count my savings (HYSA) and investments. I exclude the value of my car. I have no debt. I live with my bf who owns the house I live in. So I pay about 40% of the mortgage and 50% of the utility bills. So it's not an asset to me. My health plan doesn't qualify for an HSA.
I am in credit card debt, have a good salary but live in a high cost of living city. I am going back to cash envelopes only to make the budget simpler. It is too late in life to stop my 401k investment and I don't want to live on beans and rice. I guess my main question is how to pay off credit card debt, address emotional spending habits without feeling deprived, and like I'm punishing myself.
I started cash envelopes in January and it has been amazing! I allocate a certain amount to each category (ex. $150/month for beauty) and spend on beauty guilt free the whole month because I know I've already paid my bills and set aside my savings. The money in that category is for that alone. Sometimes I don't spend it all, so I roll it into the next month or just put it in savings. Shameless self plug, but if you watch my monthly cash wallet stuffing video you'll see what I mean 🤭 For credit cards the first things I had to do was to totally stop using them. All purchases must be made on a debit card to ensure my cc balance doesn't go up as I pay it down. I had to remove my cards from my online saved payment methods too. It may not be feasible for all purchases, but if you're doing envelopes too, that should help with not using your card.

Did you get the evergreen content from fin con? Mary with PNP did the same thing with no more personal content.
Kind of! We discussed it together with a couple of other creators, but I'll still be sharing personal content!
