This machine is currently criminally underrated. I played a lot of it during San Diego Comic Con, and now it's a must have for me. Definitely needs more attention.
@joshgrube84 I just received my LE Venom today..I own 28 pins (maybe 30 now🤷🏻♂️) and if I had to get rid of all of them except for 2 it would keep my Godzilla LE and Venom LE..personally I don’t care if they sell better or not🤷🏻♂️I own it and absolutely love it! Great in the arcade but when you bring them home and can just continue w/o putting money in it loses its luster. Wifey dropped me off while she went on a Walmart run for a hour the other day and I got to Knull immediately so that's definitely a concern for me. I believe the current high that you are feeling is also known as what they call the "honeymoon period"
This is a great video, spread it far and wide. I think Venom is going to be a game that becomes a staple of IPDA tournaments due to play field variety in host selection. This will probably be a pin that will get more and more appreciated as time goes on. All of these features are sort of hidden behind what looks like a fan layout but there is a lot of complexity packed into it. Brilliant modern design layered on top of more classic layouts. Love it.
I know dangerously little about pinball settings. So, ELI5 why this will be a favorite for tournaments. Because it seems to me that players who are "further" in the path can log in for a tournament and just dominate a new player who has no progress. I'm kind of assuming there is a setting that will place every player on the same starting level for a tournament. But with the Stern Insider system I don't know how this will interact with player profiles.
THIS is what I've been saying since Foo Fighters came out, let the designers talk about the game. You can tell Brian and Dwight are really excited to show and explain the features and mechanics of the game and it sounds more interesting when they go into all this detail. This would make more people want to go play this game on location or at home. Keep it up.
Okay so if I buy this for my home will this experience point thing without me logging in to your server? Can it just work locally? I have no desire for you to monitor my pinball progress...
Definitely picking this up next year (already have another pin ordered for this year). I love the experience save system as an intermediate level player it will finally let me see all the code a game has to offer. So excited for where this can lead. Imagine a Dungeons and Dragon type game with multiple characters and levels of progression. And as always, the 3 ball purists can play the game without the save feature.
1000x this. I immediately thought of D&D as well. It would be an amazing table with this xp system. With insider connected they could even change quests with updates.
Just received my Venom LE today..currently Godzilla LE is my #1 favorite and now? I have co #1’s with Venom & Godzilla being my top 2 out of 28 pinball machines I own. I love all the cool functions of this pin. It is VERY FAST & VERY FUN..I give it 90 out of 100. No one can get the other 10 points until they sell a LE with much better characters vs plastics🤦🏻♂️
Stern’s marketing team completely failed this game at launch. This is a much better video, but I would have included an overhead shot to really hammer home the game changing fast lock speed.
Exactly, the game sounds better and cooler to play because Brian and Dwight are explaining and summarising how the game plays and what you can do with it. This would definitely make anyone want to start playing this.
Anyone had issues with 1/1.00 3/2.00 bugs on this table? Had a go at it at my local bar. One issue I came across a few rounds playing is balls still on the playfield, but the table seemed to read as all balls fell into the drain, then proceeds to calculate score as the other balls are heading down to the drain.. Never played a table before where this was a "game play feature"
I feel like this is going to either be really successful or a complete flop. That said, I'm really stoked to see Stern taking a risk and doing something different. This is on par with the innovation Capcom was doing right before they shut down their pinball division.
Stern seem to be leaning heavily on programming and code as opposed to decking the game out with features. They really need to up their BOM on game particularly now that pinball is coming off the boil a little. I mean no spinners!!!! You have a full orbit you put bloody spinners on it. Cmon stern.

@@jimmymorgan9543 It obviously wouldn't be fair to use Insider at a tournament, so I assume competition settings would prevent that.
I played a lot of this at SFGE and its a blast, I had no idea you could unlock the 3 other characters. Can't wait for this one to come out!

There is a disney upgrade feature, which makes Venom a pansexual and the balls turn into rubber so it doesnt make violent sounds hitting the targets

stupid idea to try rpg gamestyle for a pinball game. pinball is a casual game, you play it for a few min and move on. this will be a fail.
