This is one of their many songs that was never put on a studio album from their earlier years. Mostly from the 90's. After a that, most of their music made it to studio albums. But they made a lot of really good music that they played on tours (some of it before they made it big) and there are pretty good bootleg versions out there. I think at some point he just decided he wanted to move forward and stop dwelling on the past so much, so he decided the older music wouldn't be on new albums. In the 90's, for the die hard CC fans, there was a lot of (band supported) bootleg swapping going on. I'm pretty sure I have some version of almost every song they've recorded whether in studio or not. Along with their older REALLY great original songs, they also have a lot of REALLY great cover songs they produced as well.

It's supposed to make up kind of a trilogy with "Another Horsedreamers Blues" and "Anna Begins." There's also "Love and Addiction," "Open All Night," "Suffocate," "Barely Out of Tuesday," and the song "August and Everything After." If you can find it anywhere, they had an epic bootleg album in the 90's called "Gimme the Thunder, Gimme the Rain" (hence my screen name). It was a double album of live performances of rare songs, covers, and alternate versions. Super amazing stuff, especially if you like their earlier music.
