You just made my life a little bit easier! Thank you.
That last part of the 2nd example after we are at -a(n+m). i dont get how that shows a|b+c
Hi Hwen Dee,We are able to conclude that a divides b+c since we have shown b+c is of the form a(n+m), i.e., it is an integer multiple of a. Any integer multiple of a must also be divisible by a, so we conclude that a|b+c.
Worldwide Center of Mathematics thanks!
so science is inductive?
Excellent video! proofs are my favorite part of maths!
Excellent - thanks! I see they've just started introducing this into A'level maths edexcel
