And u are technically correct. U bolts are torque 2 yield.that being said I have never had 1 fail or not hold torque due 2 reuse. Even on commercial use trucks. Not a huge expense so if 4 nothing other than piece of mind by all means replace
Was looking at the 58 inch bars for my 1500 but the only thing is it says it will work only with a 3.5 inch axle diameter and I measured mine and it came to 3.2. I’m skeptical
I guess I dont really have an answer lol I didnt specifically order anything other than the blood red and that's just how it came..I like it 2 4 sure..I would contact HSP and ask them customer service was top notch anytime I have had questions..sorry I'm not much help
@@Turnersspeedshop Thanks, I assumed you called and had it special ordered. Didn't see an option for the non-chrome, I'll reach out and see if its an option, worse case I can remove the logo and have them coated here. Looks like they are just riveted on.
Unless you have an lml l5p with boxed in frame not so fun. Had to drill and tap all the holes. They sent it with a tool to pull bolts through the frame but that would leave the head of the bolt on the I side of the frame so I tapped everything on the frame. Just fyi
Correct..the HSP bracket fits the lower corner of the frame rail so u will have 2 bolts through the side of frame rail and 2 bolts through the bottom. U wont be dissapointed
@@Turnersspeedshop so on the HSP brackets that are bolted to your rear end. with the ubolts is there a front and rear to the bracket and is there a better way to make sure that its mounted correctly other then Measuring counting the threads so I put it on Correctly thank you
Excellent question..I could be wrong, I'm going off of memory but I believe the bracket was symetrical front 2 rear and didnt matter. I'm not near my truck 2 double check I apologize
I used a center punch the same diameter as the holes in the bracket 2 mark exact center as well as keep the bit from walking from that point. The heim has about 2" of thread 2 allow 4 variation if needed I was able 2 thread it completely into the bar so not much stress is being placed on the threads themselves. Hope this is of help
I thought you are supposed to run the heim out some threads, no?
by spec my understanding is anytime you drop tension on your u-bolts they have to be replaced. One time use..........

Thanx man...very happy with them
Just ordered mine in blood red. Thanks for the video!
Sweet!
What the best 1/2 drill bit to buy for drilling that frame. I have box frame L5P..
Probably a titanium bit
Thanks bro. I ended up using titanium ones. But I went thru several of them. Lol
@@ant03609 cutting oil is everything on steel, but I realized after I commented that you asked 6 months ago

Understandable..I would contact HSP their customer service was on point when I had questions
How did you order with the black logo? I like their bars but hate that chrome logo on the bracket.

So do you have to drill 4 holes right through frame?? i have a 07 lbz i am going to be installing these on

I was meaning on the rear end brackets not the front brackets just so I am putting them on Correctly and know how they go on thank you
When you get to your pick up at some point can you please take a picture and let me know if you don't mind thank you
How did you mange to mark the holes where you had to drill ? And does it matter where you you have the hiem joint?

What size center punch..? I got some on the way.. Thanks, and great install vid
So are those the 75”? Thanks
Yes they are 75"
Would these work on a 1500?
I believe so. They have 3 different lengths, I would recommend contacting HSp 2 confirm what length u would need
Loooooooking good and also tighten your suspension its worth the money.
Definitely a much larger difference than I had anticipated pleasantly surprised!
Is the ride rougher at all?
No noticeable difference in the ride quality just much less rear body roll
