Mine Tiago EV XL LR range is around 250km with AC on and regen level 2.
Daily run is around 180km.
After 5-6 years when petrol crosses 200/ltr . then EVs (especially the size of tiago) will become natural choice even for people with ~50kms daily running!
On the flip-side when EVs will be the norm. The demand of gasoline will drop and so will the prices. But just a speculation, only time will tell.
As if electricity cost wouldn't rise up. Petroleum prices are international market dependent whereas electricity prices aren't. Which means rate of increase of electricity costs would be much more than that of petrol prices.
@@vardanrathi7777 Electricity can be produced from renewable sources. Something that petrol and diesel are not. India is already investing heavily in solar power and back in 2016 per unit cost of electricity produced from solar was within 15% of the cost of electricity produced through coal. The thing is we have to import majority of our oil. Same is not the case with electricity. We have enough coal to last next 600 years and we are already producing 42.5% electricity through renewable sources which includes hydro powerplants. In short EVs will always be cheaper to run than ICE and will also be a bit environment friendly. Battery technology is improving constantly. It will make EVs more energy efficient.

@@impcfreak Unfortunately, we are heavily dependent on non-renewable resources to make EVs using renewable resources. EV is basically placeholder technology for Green fuel to chip in. EV production, supply chain and disposal are highly coal dependent which is why, although being in use for 100+ years, EVs haven't become mainstream yet

Take the test drive on Tiago EV for at-least 1% to know what is driving Tiago EV (if the agent gives you sufficient 2km distance 🤣)
It gives only 1.2km to 1.4km with 2 person for every 1% on normal usage.
This is inclusive of regeneration part, if this doesn't work, then not sure, really it can give! 🤣
Firstly take proper 5km test drive or 5% test drive from Tiago EV with bumpy roads, bumper to bumper traffic, etc.
Depends on one s drive . I get n know a few who are able to extract 250 easily .. in city ..

Tata service centers are not at all bad. It is a rumour spread by rivals to discredit Tata.

मै कल अपनी Baleno AMT की delivery लेने गया था. जब मैंने PDI किया तो देखा की -
1) Sensors से कोई भी object जब बहुत करीब (1 फिट की दूरी पर) होता है तब भी detect नही करता है. जब वो object आधा फिट से भी पास आ जाये तभी sensors बजने लगते है.
ईसलिये मैने delivery लेने से मना कर दिया.
Please बताये क्या सभी Baleno मे ऐसा ही होता है ?
2) Also मैने देखा की कार में Owner's Manual भी नही था.
3) When I put it in reverse gear and take my foot off the brake, it doesn't go reverse automatically. Instead I have to press accelerator. But when I put it in D mode , it goes forward automatically.
Please tell is this normal ?
What should I do ?

Tiago petrol kerb weight is 982 kg vs tiago ev at 1235kg.
Think of affect on tyres, brakes, suspension.

TATA MOTORS recommends slow charging. If fast charging is done once, then 3 times slow charging is recommended for better battery life.

I'm suggesting that the government ask fuel stations for installing charging stations.

@@HarshJ_ohn Fuel companies know, if they install EV charging within pump area, they can't make much profit as much as in fuel they make. In Fuel refilling the job is done for 5mins, but EV charging is like hours. So no place to park.
@@juandase5929 Apart from charging, battery swapping can also be done within minutes. There's immense potential, and instead of full charging one can take stops every 100-150kms which people usually do on trips. Don't forget you get to keep the car for 20 years in case you want to. The parts would become cheaper in future, for someone who runs a business and wants a cheap way to commute, this is a no brainer especially in cities like Delhi where you can't even drive at 60 for the most part. And if the solar panel tech improves in future (google pervoskite), the problem will become even lesser as the panel on top of cars would also become power source.

3400 km no one drives every month.
Even if driven, from where is he mota moti saving 21000?
My scross petrol gives average of 18 in City and 22 on Highway with ac.
So it costs 5.50 per km. If 70 paise per unit(which is again wrong calculation) as no battery converts 100% of electricity to battery power., You saving about 4.75 per km and at 3400 its about 16000.
Electric cars have some other advantages and economics isn't one of them.
I have driven cng cars. Filling cng drives you mad, consider charging at public station for an hour or two and that too of you get an empty one with none before you.
Beware of RUclips views.

My calculations
Tiago petrol xt 6.5 lakh ka on road h. Ye tiago ev 10.5 lakh ki h. 4 lakh ka diff. H only inme.
1 lakh km chlne me tiago ev 1 lakh ka hi cost aaega or tiago petrol ka 5 lakh aaega cost. Service lga ke 5.20 lakh for 1 lakh km.
Now 10.5 + 1 = 11 lakh me tiago ev 1 lakh km total cost.
6.5+ 5.5 = 12 lakh me tiago petrol 1 lakh km total cost.
Only 1 lakh ki saving hui 8 year me.
Is 1 lakh ki saving ke chkkr me range ki tnsion, charging ki tension or phir Battery change ka MOTA FATKA atleast 5 lakh ki battery aaegi iski.
1 lakh ki saving vo bhi 8 year me. Or uske lie itna TENSION.

Calculate for 160000 km and running cost is minimum 6rs in Tiago not 5
1,60,000×1= 160000Rs for ev running (currently)
For petrol 1,60,000×6=9,60,000Rs
Difference in both = 8,00,000
Now difference in models 8,00,000-4,00,000=4,00,000
Now this is a huge amount in 8 years to save. So ev is still good option for people with daily running of 100km.
However if you don't have that much run or around 50-60 km only than it's totally foolish to buy ev
