This is the first video with a good explanation of Jester. Hopefully the first of many since the manual doesn't really talk about the Jester menu at the moment
lm pretty shure if the jammer sais STANDBY on the menü that means xmit has been selected and it is on and makeing noise.. in jester menü things that are not selected Show up, like if you select computer pilot for bombing in the menü computer target mode or what ever its called is displayed. '' hence : press xmit to engage '' so xmit is selected so standby shows up. go it ? the way that some selected options are displayed are a bit confuseing in the jester menü IMO
The jester panel is very confusing. Just press "2" key to become RIO and look at the jammer console on the right and check the position of the master mode yourself. That is the safest way.
so i have a question, i might have missed it: after you program jester, when is he going to chaff and flare? also when i press the countermeasure botton on my hotas, does it also fire chaff or only flares?
FENCE (in/out) Set cockpit switches as appropriate prior to entering/exiting the combat area (mnemonic for fire-control system/ECM/navigation/communication/Emitters).
By default you hold left control plus the number that the command is. Despite all outward appearances of how the menu is setup. For ex. at 2:18 in this video to get to flare normal you would hold L Cntl+2
Thanks for all of these tutorials, Grim! They really help. Great videos. :)
thx
Thanks for your f14 series it has really helped me in all aspects of the tomcat
It is very likely that I have a higher survival rate using the RWR as "Friendly" instead of "Air Interceptors" Due to the amount of teamkills.

Thanks for the tutorial I really wish they would have just given the pilot a chaff option
The radar jamming instruction cap gave is wrong. Pressing it when it says xmit SETS it to xmit
thx
I find it really difficult to simply switch between chaff and flare from pilots seat,
agree
helpful vids from the reapers. looks like supercap didn't sleep for the last days^^.

so to dump chaff and flare together from pilot seat i need to set them both to either program or single?
" i want that one" lolol
My jester is on the right now that i use track ir and i can only see 1/3 of jester how do i centre ut
So when you have a jammer option "SET JAMMER XMIT" does that mean it's already turn on?

@@grimreapers Not in MP unfortunately
If it said xmit that means standby is selected. ( Press xmit to select ) then standby text is visible. Got it ?

You don't program jester, he programs the aircraft. And it will dispense chaff/flares when you are locked in stt by something, including missiles
As a default you fire only flarez, but if you will switch off manual flares dispenser, you'll fire chaff
im trying to find out what fenced in means in jesters redial anybody?

The Jester menu will not work for me at all, it'll pop up but nothing is clickable.
