- Metro Watch (Metrowatch) is Tyneside/ Newcastle Upon Tyne PTE (Passenger Transport Executive - Now Nexus) Schools film which features a VERY Young ROBSON GREEN. It was made with School Children and shown in schools to deter Antisocial behavior on the Metro Train/Rapid Transport system. (Archive footage) featuring the Children of Burnside High School.
Loving the jumpy film quality and patchy sound at the start. So authentic of its time.
Seen it, say it, sorted in the making
A star in the making!
I loved Tyne and Wear it was really advanced and it’s livery was perfect
7:40
These few sentences seem fucking surreal to me
I've been on the old metro when I was 1
Totally unrealistic, but loved it anyway. Nostalgic ❤
very true fact about that graffiti lol
I cannot Belive they attacked and stole from an elderly woman when they was kids . I hope they feel ashamed .
It wasn’t real 🤣
10p a fair Christ that brings back memories lol
class. in the days before robson started talking posh and dancing on roofs
Walker white I don’t get it robson was born in Northumberland so why doesn’t he have a Geordie accent .
@@donnamaria666 because he was born in Durham. They aren’t Geordies.
I know they were probably only actors but to show two young lads mugging an old woman for her purse & running away with it doesn't exactly inspire confidence in travelling on such rapid transit systems
I watched it three times
2:11 we never got to know...
They all have their own unique train/underground systems I think
He is gonna pay for that metro board he just sprayed on it
The old lady recently survived the first attack at South shields
Just to confirm I have received your video
And the metro will sometimes be dangerous
Nowadays they'd all be up before court for throwing that bucket of water at the poor misunderstood lambs. The company would probably have found a way to give the motorman of that train a bollicking too. Just to further undermine staff morale. Or at least that's how it is here, "Down South" !
In the end I saw the sign
Of the station it was four lane ends
She was British as well
Compared to British Rail and Merseyside PTE, Tyne & Wear were very far-sighted to make a film like this, being shown to local schools. Not just that, but they came up with MetroWatch, where public-spirited teens would keep tabs on those intent on causing trouble. Try doing that on Merseyside - any teenager worth their salt would rather throw themselves in front of a Merseyrail train than snitch on others causing trouble. Not that Merseywatch wouldn't be a good idea, though.
hes not david hes one of the singers
Classic uk
Look out for dangerous people on the metro and bus in 1991
And be careful
And safe
OK Class... We Will Watch Metro Trains But Who Is Man
I was born in 2013
When was this actually filmed? Reckon it must have been when the Metro was still quite new, as the old ticket barriers were still in operation.
1987. I'm David from the film.
