    He deals the cards as a meditation
    And those he plays never suspect
    He doesn't play for the money he wins
    He don't play for respect
    He deals the cards to find the answer
    The sacred geometry of chance
    The hidden law of a probable outcome
    The numbers lead a dance
    I know that the spades are the swords of a soldier
    I know that the clubs are weapons of war
    I know that diamonds mean money for this art
    But that's not the shape of my heart
    He may play the jack of diamonds
    He may lay the queen of spades
    He may conceal a king in his hand
    While the memory of it fades
    I know that the spades are the swords of a soldier
    I know that the clubs are weapons of war
    I know that diamonds mean money for this art
    But that's not the shape of my heart
    That's not the shape
    The shape of my heart
    If I told her that I loved you
    You'd maybe think there's something wrong
    I'm not a man of too many faces
    The mask I wear is one
    But those who speak know nothing
    And find out to their cost
    Like those who curse their luck in too many places
    And those who fear are lost
    I know that the spades are the swords of a soldier
    I know that the clubs are weapons of war
    I know that diamonds mean money for this art
    But that's not the shape of my heart
    That's not the shape of my heart
    That's not the shape
    The shape of my heart

    Wow, great arrangement and voice! One Q...why the standing in whater with the fantastic solo? LOL. Was a great touch musically..was wondering if there were a story behind the setting choice in the stream...

    • @AwesomeUkuleleSongs
      @AwesomeUkuleleSongs  Год назад

      The story was, that the stream happened to be right behind the place, where we were sitting. So for changing of the scene and humorous reasons we shot the melodica shots there. It was painfully cold btw..

    You write no where in what country you live and I would like so much to know, where you learned to play so nicely music. Did you studied somewhere music? Wherefrom do you know your musician friends? I would appreciate so much an answer!

      Wow, thanks for all the flowers :-D. I'm from Germany and my parents got me into learning the piano, when I was 6. That did the most of it. As a teenager I gave up on the piano and taught myself to play guitar and much later finally the ukulele. It's my favourite instrument now, but it helps a lot to have that theoretical background from other instruments. Concerning my musical guest: a lot of my friends happen to make music. So ... thanks for visiting my channel.

    Pleaase help! I don’t understand which string you pick first at 5:05

    • @AwesomeUkuleleSongs
      @AwesomeUkuleleSongs  6 лет назад

      C-String.

    • @annakornilova8772

      I meant on the picking :)

    • @AwesomeUkuleleSongs
      @AwesomeUkuleleSongs  6 лет назад

      At 5:05 I pick a C-String. I was hoping the animation of the strings picked would answer all questions, though I made an even better approach in the video I made after that.

    Buena interpretación El problema es que algunos acordes no coinciden con lo que tú interpretas El fallo que veo es que: o faltan acordes o los que pones a la izquierda no se corresponden con lo que interpretas (además de no identificarlos) Lo que dificulta poder seguirte aunque se renga un nivel medio

      AwesomeUkuleleSongs yeah, the melodica is the key harmonica you played for the solos, but don’t worry, I already got it by playing along with mine while listening to this video! Thank you and keep making videos like this, you’re a great musician!!

    Why even call it a how to video when it simply is a cover

    • @AwesomeUkuleleSongs
      @AwesomeUkuleleSongs  4 года назад +5

      Check the cords in the upper left corner and the strumming pattern at the end. Do I need to talk 10 minutes about it for you to consider it a tutorial?

      Is a how to video, don't you watch all the video? Tell us what is necessary to make a how to video? 🤨
