We aren't the smartest individuals (if that wasn't already obvious) and cut it off before we saw the golden buzzer moment. We realized it after we shut off the camera and are very happy that Angelina got it. We think she deserves it personally, what about the rest of you guys?
She was 13 years old in that video (she just turned 14 in the last few days). She was seven years old when she won Norway's Got Talent. In an interview she said she started singing when she was 1.5 years old. Just born to be a singer I guess.
Oh, she's barefoot because she always performs that way. When she was like 6 years old she met a homeless girl who had no shoes and scars on her feet. She took her own shoes off and gave them to her. Ever since then she always performs barefoot. She's a good kid.

Tons more to see from Angelina Jordan! She has been creating amazing covers and originals for years now (125 different songs to date). She does every song in her own unique way, which always ends up sounding like it was always meant to sound like that. This is one of the best singers I have personally ever listened to. I really hope you will check out more of her stuff now that have discovered her. You will not be disappointed with anything you hear from Angelina Jordan.

I have been posting the bio in some and not in others. I think by not posting it, it could generate more comments by lots of people telling a small part of her story... but at the same time, I want everyone to know what a good person she is, and it is easier for someone new to just read it all in one place. I am basically making the decision based on reactor and the comments I see when I get there.

She saw a young girl one day sitting on the sidewalk with no shoes and sit down and talked to her for awhile and before she left, she gave the young girl her shoes and said she would not wear shoes on stage until every child had shoes..... she is a beautiful young lady
She is barefoot because when she was little girl, she seen another child without shoes and gave this child her own shoes. Being barefoot is to remind ppl that there are children out there without shoes. She told this story back stage at the 2020 AGT Performance.

*Angelina Jordan*
- Angelina Jordan was born Jan 10 2006 in Oslo, Norway. She is currently 13
- She began singing at the age of one and a half - At 2 or 3 she discovered Jazz through her Grandmother and youtube videos and started studying all the greats from Jazz history.
- Angelina always sings barefoot..... When Angelina was 6, she was traveling with her grandmother and met a poor girl with no shoes trying to make money on the streets. The girl complimented her on her pretty shoes, so Angelina took them off and gave them to the girl. She made a vow to always sing barefoot until all the children of the world could have shoes. To this day, whenever Angelina is performing in public, she sings barefoot to remind us that there are less fortunate people in the world that could use our help. (that's a shortened version. the full story is more touching than the way I have told it here).
- She has always been the driving force behind her own singing career. It was her that asked her mother to take her to Norways Got Talent, where she auditioned at 7 years old and went on to win the show at just 8 years old.
- In an interview after the show, when asked what she was going to do with the prize money, the 8 year old replied, "I would like to give it to orphans that need clothes and shoes"
- When Angelina was 9 years old she became the youngest published author in Norway, when she wrote a book about the story of why she doesn't wear shoes when she sings. She donated proceeds from the sales of the book to help children in need.
- The reason you may not have heard of her is because her parents are very protective of her childhood. They do not want her to be thrust into stardom before she has a chance to grow up as a normal child, and finish her education. They allow her to do a few select shows (mainly private and charity events) with a couple public shows every year when she is out of school. Her mother said in an interview that they have turned down 90% of the offers that come in. I have heard they have turned down offers from many record labels and even disney.
- Angelina has covered more than 100 songs over the last 6 years. She always selects the songs herself... everything ranging from old classic jazz to modern pop. She is able to change her voice to match any song she sings and make it her own. (she can cover Amy Winehouse and Lana del Rey and many other artists like nobody else can)
- Angelina has collaborated with some very big names over the last few years... Quincy Jones, Mark Ronson, David Foster, and many more. All of which were blown away by her talent.
- Angelina has written three of her own original songs: "What is Life", "Shield" and "Oslo". (all are amazing...all can be found on youtube)
In summary, Angelina Jordan is destined to be one of the greatest singers to have ever lived. This is just my opinion, but if you listen closely to any of her stuff you will hear the greatness. She sings with a natural style. There is no acting, no showing off, there are no unnecessary runs, or big belty notes just for the purpose of saying "hey look at me sing". She once said "when I sing I go into a magical world in my head", and you can always hear the results of that. When Angelina sings it is pure soul, pure emotion, pure music.

Her incredible talent is pretty self evident, but her character isn't something people would know just by listening. Knowing what a kind and generous soul she is just adds to the enjoyment of listening to her.

Shes thirteen, can sing amazingly beautiful, play the piano, violin, and flute. She performs shoeless to speak out against child poverty, shes a published author, designed and made that outfit she wore and won Norway Has Talent at seven. I dont think "outshining" her on your youtube channel is going to be a problem. : )

She is almost 14 when she did this performance... She won Norway got talent when she was only 7 !!!
I follow her 6 years now, since she was 7 years old and she won Norway got talent. I listen all her covers and with her smokey , raspy voice and her emotions when she sing, all covers are better than original songs. I just love her. She is amazing now and she will be huge legend one day. This performance is stuning. Even Queen Woows her performance on Twitter. Will be mesmerizing if Angelina and Queen do this song together one day.

This was not an audition this was Angelina's coming out concert to the world. She owns the stage the minute she steps on it. The bare footed princess of song has entered the building... I still remember that I was shocked in a positive way, and I have ever since that time been a fan. A fan of a child. I wouldn't believed it if you had asked me 10 years ago.
I have never been interested in the jazz music genre , but Angelina's interpretations of old jazz music classics has "opened my eyes" for that kind of music for sure, and in a way "touched me".
In the past year she has posted some great covers of modern music as well.

She's my favorite singer
When Angelina was 6 years old, she met a homeless girl around her age in Iran. (Her grandmother is Iranian artist Mery Zamani.) The girl did not have any shoes, and Angelina says her feet were scarred. Angelina gave the girl her own shoes. Not only does Angelina honor the young homeless girl she met by performing barefoot, but she also wrote a book about the experience. It’s called Mellom to jherter (“Between two hearts”), and was published in 2015, when Angelina was only 9 years old. According to her website, Angelina then “vowed never to appear on stage again wearing shoes until all the world’s children had them.” She keeps that promise to this day, as she says that little girl “is always in my heart.”

Yes she is barefoot. She has sing barefoot since she gave her shoes to a 6 year old Asian girl that had none. The little girl said she would pray for her so Angelina vowed to sing barefoot till all children have shoes. There is a book about it .
