- Many wrestlers come and go from the WWE. But when a wrestler leaves WWE, a return is never ruled out and we often see wrestlers return back to WWE, and sometimes they have a much better run than they had before. But in some cases a wrestler returns and it goes very wrong, and being a completely pointless waste of time. Today we’re gonna discuss a few of those cases, so like and subscribe and let’s talk about WWE returns that went wrong and clearly had no plan as we discuss WWE Signings That Went Wrong.

Emma was never a waste I love her, she's actually great in the ring and had an acceptable gimmick but just wasn't booked well or appreciated.
Cain Velasquez has to be the biggest pointless signing unless the point was for vince to help brock get one back over on him
They had a long term plan for him, until he killed the pos who messed with his kid.

The Dudleyz in 2015-2016 was a VERY disappointing run.

I can understand how Vince McMahon fumbled Emma/Tenille Dashwood but I don't understand how Triple H fumbled her when he brought her back. It's a shame her second run under Triple H made Emma want to retire but if she does wrestle again hopefully it's back in TNA or even AEW under ROH because both promotions treated her better than WWE ever could. Also congratulations on her and Madcap Moss expecting their first child.

WWE did Emma so dirty! Like seriously this women could have been a star! Her Paige, Naomi and AJ were some of the only girls that could actually work during that time on the MR

Harry Smith had a great run in NJPW and NOAH as part of Minoru Suzuki's crew - he was part of Killer Elite Squad with Lance Archer and they were great foreigner monsters

Finding out that Emma was supposed to be in WWE 2K24, but then they removed her they should’ve In the game. It would’ve been our last appearance. I would’ve been fine with that. I was upset when they removed her

Firing Emma the day that Elimination Chamber was announced in Australia as the first ever WWE PLE there is almost as shitty as Punk getting his termination papers on his wedding day.
Eva Marie probably would have got away with it in the attitude era where very few of the ladies could actually wrestle to a decent level. But in the age of the quality of ladies wrestling being a lot better, she never stood a chance.

Emma was awesome in NXT. VKM did her wrong , probably because she didn't want to do anything with him. YEAH, I FN SAID IT! SO WHAT?! She could have been the start of the Women's Revolution.
It’s a shame that David Hart Smith didn’t even wrestle on TV when he came back. He can be a huge asset to any roster, he’s a good wrestler.

Hey Guy, I fell hard for the Eva Marie redemption angle. Hook line and sinker, and then it wasn't too be.
Clearly some signings looked better on the paper the contracts were signed on. Like many of these peoples gimmicks.
Tennile Dashwood was a victim of Mid card typecasting, cause she had it all. She had a GREAT look and she could Work her ass off

John Morrison's last WWE run was complete waste, don't get me wrong it started off good with him teaming with Miz and even winning the Smackdown tag titles but once they lost them it all went downhill from there as Morrison became more like a lackey to The Miz rather than just a tag team partner. In fact his entire run pretty much revolved around him being tied to the hip of Miz and he'd later get that whole cringy Johnny Drip Drip gimmick where he had that whole squirt gun and called him self "moist wanted." When Miz finally turned on him turning Morrison face there was a promo with him backstage all serious which got me hoping he was going back to being the way he was in 2011 as a babyface instead they kept him with the Drip Drip gimmick like how is anyone supposed to take Morrison seriously as a babyface with that gimmick, and to make matters worse he pretty much jobbed the rest of his time there mostly wrestling on Main Event while having backstage segments with him meditating. He got released in November of 2021 with him not even getting a match with Miz one on one after getting turned on. Overall the two years felt like a waste of Morrison's talents.

It’s 2024 and y’all are still clowning Eva Marie. She played her part perfectly.
Surprisingly, no mention of poor Gable Stevenson.
WWE did nothing with the Olympic Gold Medalist and got booed by the NXT crowd.
Worse of all, when Stevenson tried football, the. Buffalo Bills released Gable after weeks in his football career.

I really liked Emma in NXT. Her matches with Paige were gold! Especially the first ever Takeover! Watching her get wasted and made a joke/jobber was really sad to me. Such a waste of talent.

I really wanted this guy to be released soon. He’s done nothing but feuding wrestlers with his lame mind games and taking L’s. Nothing interesting about this guy. I don’t know what Triple H sees in this guy. Not a lot of people from the crowd cared about him.

Calling these the dumbest is wrong. Emma is a fantastic wrestler and, when she was brought back, they did nothing with her. Not her fault. Smith was a good signing, as well. He was decent in the ring and had the name recognition but again, WWE failed him. Eva Marie couldn’t wrestle and was brought back for horny 16 year old boys so, that one is kind of dumb. But, the first two were done dirty by old man Vince.

Emma got crickets when she returned. I think her record wasn’t great as we pretty much knew what she could do. She never could step up and that was her problem as the megastars could constantly put out great matches while Emma was a mid card player that is just shy of a title. She just wasn’t up to par.

Eva Marie was just a pretty face and that was it. She barely had wrestling experience and she just couldn’t get it together in the ring. She was rehired but her skills actually got worse. She was axed because of that and her bickering with the women backstage just was bad.

Eva Marie was the worst signing for WWE, that chick was nothing more than eye candy, but then again Vince was still around and he is known for bringing in useless talent just for looks. Just look at Sable, she was just as useless, but, held a title only because Vince wanted to nail her.
Emma/Tanil was and is actually a good wrestler, she for some odd ball reason wasn't used to her potential in WWE, she left for whatever reason then came back and they still didn't use her appropriately.
