      I agree as a Cs fan but as unbiased sports fan I'm not gonna use it as an excuse. We shouldn't have been down 3 games ever to begin with and tho he's not nearly as important as Tatum, Miami WAS without Herro all things being fair.
      That said I mean obviously it's not a guarantee but atleast we would've lost with our best if we still ended up losing. I love Jaylen but he hella shrunk in that moment. I got faith he's bouncing back tho, he knows he fkd up.

    If this crew can stay healthy, they will win it all this season. KP brings offensive versatility the Celtics haven't had before, and their half court offense will be much better when defenses tighten up in the postseason. The top 6 is set, Pritchard will be solid, and just 1 more player needs to be solid off the bench to have a strong 8 man rotation for the playoffs.

    • @ramzeezthamightygod
      @ramzeezthamightygod 11 месяцев назад +2

      Yup. Kp and the jays screens/ pick and roll makes me excited for them. Brown and Tatum in past seasons had pretty much no two man action or really any synergy in playing off each other… they just took turns with the rock rather than create plays for each other. lebron and Russ vs Kobe and Shaq can show you the difference between playing as individuals rather than a true duo.
      I think KP can be that piece to finally get them scoring as a team and filling that gap as a solid screener for them. Also it becomes way less awful if their 3s aren’t quite sinking porzingis being such a giant can easily get those lobs and alleys to cash. I loved seeing him tip it in without even jumping 😂
      Of course his shooting and other skills ain’t nothing to sneeze at, but I just listed the things that imo can have the biggest impact on the team as a whole in the way they play

    • @EiLLskillz
      @EiLLskillz 11 месяцев назад +1

      @ramzeezthamightygod absolutely. The Heat zone defense flustered them. Now you have a huge target in the high post and so many threats to drive with knock down shooters all around. I can't wait to see what this team can do

      @@EiLLskillz it was tough to watch🫣 but blockbuster brad definitely responded and it seems like mazzulla is too. Can’t wait to see how he develops as a coach as well… I know it’s only the media so I should take it with a grain of salt but watching him on JJ’s podcast and just how he’s interacting with players in camp gives me a lot of faith in his growth. He just had a lot of great insight into last season and addressed the many elephants in the room with poise. Last year was so hectic-you can tell there’s a lottt less tension between him and the players and just overall more of the connection you want to see on a strong team.
      One of the most important qualities in a coach is personal growth and perspective so it’s nice to see that he’s on that arch-it says a lot about his long term potential in that role.

      @@ramzeezthamightygod they couldn’t really create a 2 man game and play off each other. They were always guarded by the other teams best wing defenders so any screen they could just switch. In all of porzingis interviews so far he said basically that his foot pain from the off season was bc of him changing shoes and he held off playing for Latvia in fiba to rehab, as well as Celtics staff ramping him up when he got to Boston. He said he has no pain and he doesn’t have too much weight on him so he shouldn’t be as injury prone as some bigger guys. And I think Horford is just so fundamentally sound he can play for a few more years at a high level. Imo I’m not as scared as the bucks bc they’re guard rotation outside of dame is kinda bad and they still have nobody to guard tatum who averaged 40 vs them last season and was undefeated

      Bruh porzi doesn't have pain because he's not playing right now. Fasciitis is not something you cure or fix. It's a symptom of overuse. • @pinobluevogel6458
    @pinobluevogel6458 11 месяцев назад

    Great video again! Of the concerns mentioned, depth is not he biggest issue, but health definitely can be a problem. I really hope KP can stay healthy, he never had the best injury luck and could use a full season of play.
    As I remember saying in a comment on the video about the Dame and Jrue trade, I like the Celtics roster a little more than the Bucks. Seeing them play in the pre-season, the Celtics look even better than I expected. All the guys I mentioned as roleplayers; Hauser, Mykhailiuk and Pritchard looked great. (Pre-season P the commentators called him because he was scorching hot)
    Having Delano Banton and Luke Kornet that can give some backup minutes also helped, especially Banton offers a lot of size for a ballhandler and Kornet is actually a good passer for his position. Its not true depth that is going to help them a lot in the playoffs, but certainly good for some minutes in the regular season, to give other players some rest. I haven't seen the other guys mentioned in the video play, but with all of them added, that is still quite a bit of depth which I didn't see coming.
    Ofcourse, a lot of this is from watching pre-season games, which is not the same as the actual games. However, considering the guys they have on the roster and how they performed in the past, they are still going to be good from 3 and good defensively.

    Both D White and Peyton Pritchard are primed to have stellar breakout seasons, in contention for sixth man and most improved player awards respectively. Also, Celtics new backup big man Queta (runner up in MVP voting for the G league last season) has been impressive in Preseason. So Bostons depth isnt as suspect as some might think. Not to mention new acquisition Jeff Van Gundy is set to possibly pop off the bench and launch some 3s from the logo with everybody else 😂

    I don’t think we should discount the Heat just yet. They aren’t my first choice by any means, but we just saw Jimmy absolutely destroy Jrue this year, and then go on to beat a much deeper Celtics team which have now LOST Grant Williams, Rob Williams, Malcolm Brogdon, and Marcus Smart. Not to mention they did it all without Tyler Herro. If Horford’s age kicks in this year, or any of that big 4 get injured, Heat could upset once again.

    • @gullintanni
      @gullintanni 11 месяцев назад

      Heat have lost more than the Celtics because they tried to get Dame. Jimmy will also struggle health wise as he does every year after a deep playoff run. Add to the fact that the young stars add3d one year of xp and they'll destroy the Heat no problem.

    • @brendanolson618

      @@gullintanni Off the top of my head I think they only lost Vincent and Strus, and I don’t remember Strus playing very well that series. Herro should be able to make up for what Vincent did. If they could clean up their turn over and inconsistency issues, there should be no doubt who wins.

    They need to pick up another solid big but I think they will and I think that'll make a big difference and I do think they're better than the bucks. The bucks have real injury prone players too with Middleton. But both teams healthy I think the celtics beat them they typically beat them when they face off. Plus I think the bucks get a little too much credit for their championship. They beat a suns team that was totally fucked up during the finals. And they had the easiest road to the finals that year I think I've ever seen so I don't view them as this crazy mature team with a ton of experience. I mean let's be honest if the celtics played a team like that suns team the bucks beat. They woulda won that series too but instead they played the warriors who were at the time one of the scariest teams becuase of their experience. I wonder if the celfics had won a championship recently we'd be talking about them a lot differently.

To me this seems like Toronto all over again with Jimmy G instead of Bron. Like they dont hae a superstar, regardless of how you look at it they dont have a dude that can just create buckets when the team is down.
      What helped miami was that Jimmy and Caleb Martin could just create points out of nowhere But with the C's they dont got nobody. Brown cant go left, Tatum thinks he Kobe and tries to force things.

    Why r u acting like jrue on the Celtics is some magnificent special defensive thing. Smart literally beat out jrue for first team d every single year. EVERY SINGLE YEAR. at best the team is equal. Jrue choked In the playoffs. He won’t be an offensive guy there. There is zero reason for them to tear up the team for a Marcus smart clone. When they coulda kept Marcus smart

    • @gullintanni
      @gullintanni 11 месяцев назад +2

      Casual. Jrue struggled in the playoffs that Middleton and Giannis got injured, forcing him into a scoring role he was not built for. As a 4th option he'll be a lot more efficient and he can focus on shutting down his man.

      Jrue is for sure an upgrade over Smart. I like Smart a lot, but his decisionmaking isn't always top notch. Jrue can also fall into the trap of doing too many things, but on a team this stacked with players that need the ball and are threats to score, he will do better.
      Even back in his Pelicans days, he was tons better with Ingram and Lonzo on the floor. He shouldn't have to do too much and focus on what he is excellent at.

Smarts a better player? Lol. Jrue struggles with tempo. It’s always been why he has consistency issues. He’s not gonna be a massive improvement either way. Atleast smart could handle it being thrown up against a big here and there and jrue cannot. As if I don’t know Milwaukees playoffs history. Not sure why that was brought up. And btw jrue was a third option in Milwaukee most of his time sometimes a fourth behind Brook Lopez nets all time leading scorer, kmid and giannis. It doesn’t matter when your the primary ball handler you should be a threat to score any time. Or at least it helps a lot. In what ways will jrue help a lot compared to smart?
