I own the 2013 Ford Edge Limited version, and with the Console (Sync/LCD) I have absolutely no issues with it responding to my touch. I'm a huge fan of the console touch system and love Sync. Highly recommend it.
When you're complaining about the "three times a charm" touch screen. You're thumping the screen like a bowtard, the rest of the time, you're touching the screen properly with out any issues. Use it properly and it works fine.

5000 dollar premium of a hybrid * FVif of 4 years at 4% = 1.1699 = 5849.5 of what you could have if you put it in a well managed high-yield savings. Add on the 4%interest on it you are going to be paying on the loan for 5 years = 1077.5. Total cost of buying a hybrid = 6927. Time to pay off at 40mpg vs 20mpg @ 4$/gal @ 15000 miles. Total savings of 1500 per year, pay it off in 4.48 years. NOT 2 years.
So why didn't CNET mention anything on the MPG? They must have gotten a sour overall number so they didn't mention. Wouldn't be the first time I heard the fusion hybrid getting lower MPG than the EPA numbers...
Its good looking BUT the sexiest mid size is the 2014 Mazda 6, Brians gota do that one next! By the way, ive been hearing that the fusion hybrid and cmaxs' mpg isnt what the epa estimated, not even close!!!
HYBRIDS typically carry such a high up-front price that it takes years to actually see the benefit of their fuel savings. You'd be better off with a regular 4-cylinder car that runs on regular unleaded. The same goes for DIESEL cars. Their higher fuel efficiency is offset by the fact Diesel (in most places) costs around 25 cents more than even SUPER PREMIUM UNLEADED GAS. Not to mention they average more than $4000 higher than the equivalent car with a 4 or 6 cylinder gasoline engine.
Awesome, thanks for the upload! One question though, you failed to mention anything about the MPG other than the stock numbers. Did you notice any significant differences from the numbers provided to what you were actually getting as you were driving around?
I want a hybrid to save fuel, but I think I'm going to wait until my new car dies in 10-15 years for one. The tech just became mainstream and it just needs to mature.
I don't care about the multitouch internet cabable screen. All that money could have been spent in something else, like a backup camera. CARS WERE MEANT TO BE DRIVEN!!
Such a beautiful front end but the interior is so bare and blah. Why can't they have a look at the interior of their rivals and top sellers in the class and get a clue about what people really want in a car?
"A poor man's Aston Martin Rapide"??? NO...a Poor man's Rapide is called a JAGUAR XJ hatchback. The Ford's look the part, but these things are NOTHING like Astons. Even the MKS lacks any hint of Aston-level interior feel. The Jaguar XJ-L however feels higher in quality than the Aston. You are paying the premium for a V-12. Aston would be smarter to drop the V12 and switch Twin Turbo V8 or Supercharged V8. V12's are unsustainable.
What country do you live in? In North America, most midsize hybrids (E.g. Camry, Accord, Sonata hybrids) all run somewhere mid-$30k territory. And that's for the 'base' models. For the tech you get in the Fusion hybrid, $37k is rather good value...
Trades46 He is from Canada where they don't make cars at all and just like to complain about the cars that Americans make, and well in Ford's case, freaking INVENTED.
Ford hit a home run with the 2013 Fusion.
A little slip up there Cooley
3:43 - "front wheel drive only on the hybrid"
4:11 - "in addition to being AWD only on the hybrid"

Why should it matter? Both are just touch input. Other units in the competition can handle any “aggressiveness” of input, why can’t this one?
@@bvedant no. Any unit would respond the same way if you are smacking it like an idiot
@@LJL98 from what I've seen no that's not true.

According to Wayne Cunningham's written review, CNET averaged 39.1 MPG, well below the EPA rating of 47. :(

Just got off an 18 day rental of this car. 43MPG made me happy and it was a nice car to drive. Thumbs up. The electronics review here was such a bore!
This show is called car tech for a reason.
CVT and has a microsoft logo, where do I sign?
It’s funny how well that could fit as a sarcastic comment too.
Best looking mid-size sedan, hands down.
2 key funny things. 1: The Navi. system asking him about the 'flat face' remark. 2: Bobby Womack's 'Across 110th. Street' is on the radio.
Rip bobby Womack
Jeremiah Anthony Yes!!
don't even have a license but still watch these for Cooley
Ever get that license??
Nope lol
@@SamsonOsztreicher ouch! Why not? Love checking in on these old comments!!!!
@@TheLeGeNdPvE yer this was so long ago, mostly anxiety tbh
what cooley meant was that there is only front wheel drive on the hybrid ver of the fusion. again the same thing about awd =)
Cooley is a boss, great review as always!
1:04 Have you driven a Ford lately?
You never disappoint, man!
I do think this car is the best looking thing Ford Makes with with the Focus 5 door coming in 2nd.
fwd only... not awd
Now that gas prices are higher, the payback is a lot quicker.
so are you also getting 47mpg. i have been reading that this is not the case. thanks
Since its a Ford, does it come standard with body Bags for the people in it?
So why didn't CNET mention anything on the MPG? They must have gotten a sour overall number so they didn't mention. Wouldn't be the first time I heard the fusion hybrid getting lower MPG than the EPA numbers...
i know that but im talking about right now.......however its just 3 days away from the hybrid being released!!!!!!
the car is driving in Northville Michigan at the end of the video =^)
Its good looking BUT the sexiest mid size is the 2014 Mazda 6, Brians gota do that one next! By the way, ive been hearing that the fusion hybrid and cmaxs' mpg isnt what the epa estimated, not even close!!!
you said first it was fwd then said it was only awd what is it
Hey Cooley, diesel beats hybrids any day of the week.
@Kefib Bertulli Ford owned aston martin and their the ones who made that iconic grill
BC must of not gotten the AVG EPA Estimate that Ford claims.
accord doesnt have a hybrid YET. only a plug-in, but a hybrid in fall
i bought mine out the door for 25k Ford Fusion Hybrid SE 2013...... out the door. Was this a good deal? It had 14,400 miles
How is the car holding up? Would you suggest buying one?

mr cooley you never mention volkswagon :(
Is the trunk size big?
The battery takes up a few cubic feet of space but you can still fit alot.
How about I get a Ford Focus ST and call it a day. Good video Coolie
There isn't much a demand at all on hybrids. Hybrids make up such a small portion of the cars
I don't care about the multitouch internet cabable screen. All that money could have been spent in something else, like a backup camera. CARS WERE MEANT TO BE DRIVEN!!
Ford Fusion: "Are you telling me I have a flat face?"
finally you reviewed it Cooley !
too bad it was the hybrid one but anyway...
the last review cnet did of this car without you was rubish !
Cooley is the boss, Ford should listen tot him for improvement.
Does Audi have a hybried
Yes it did. 2016-2019 A3 etron
I agree! I have 6 speed and 206hp on my optima hybrid. still it is cheaper
wrong title Aston martin Ford Fusion Hybrid
my birthday yay
great review by cooley. when cooley talks people listen.
And check the tech and then tech the check (cheque)
I thought the Fusion Hybrid was only FWD, not AWD.
The nav screen looks like the gta San Andreas map LOL
Ford Fusion: "yes like this: Screw you!"
I want this car..
do the new mazda 6 2014!
There's plenty of 1st gen Prius models still roaming around and getting darn close to original MPG.
I got 42.3 mpg on my new Cmax
This is the only good looking Ford in its price range I've ever seen, would be much nicer with a better interior design
A review on a hybrid and not one word on real-world MPG?
he said it's 47 / 47. the EPA estimate is 44 / 41

you mean VW deluxe A4

im sry cooley but that hybrid wont last the long haul none of them do
Third times the charm LOL.
Front face totally ripped off from an Aston Martin.
cooley and sync LOL
No...it doesnt at all. haha
aston martin called, they fucking hate you ford.. You are making Aston look bad with this weird little car

No one is buying this car at 37k. Its a low to mid 20s car.

I am Ford Motor Company and the base Fusion Hybrid starts at $27K
No way!! If I see a car like this with a price in the mid. $20s, I'd probably wouldn't buy it. Something must be wrong with it.
