Man that Caline delay pedal looks very familiar 😉!! Cool board, but it’s definitely too small for my growing collection!! The power supply seems to be decent so I might have to check prices. Cool review Shane!! Cheers!🤙🏾🤙🏾🤘🏽🎸🎸
True. Their version of "isolated" is separate short circuit protection (resettable fuses) and separate filtering for each output. Fully isolated would have completely separate +ve and -ve rails. That said, I've found that the individual filtering cleans up most interference between pedals. I use 3 of the Caline CP-05 units, in various applications. Much like this CP-04 but with different output current ratings and no USB. Those 3 work fine for Most of my multi pedal arrangements. Just a few pedals, especially digital ones, send a load of dirty noise back up the power rail and then I use a separate supply. Usually a Donner DP-4 8Plus to combat this. I have 2 of these now also. My worst culprit is a Line 6 M5 unit which is both power hungry and noisy. Not all digital units do this but it Is common. Even fancy stuff like Strymons are known for it. So far, the combination of a Caline CP-05 and a Donner DP-4 8Plus has powered my largest layouts with no problems.
I think the calines are made in the same factory as a few others. And yes, putting a multimeter on the centre (-ve) pin they should be isolated but they've got a continuity - so this ones definitely not isolated.
Don't be too put off by the lack of total isolation. They're still quite a step up from daisy-chaining, it has to be said. The separate per channel supply filtering is effective in a lot of, maybe most, situations and the short circuit protection is per channel as well. It's just the odd pedal that could catch you out and that will be more likely with some digital pedals. I have quite a few digitals which work fine with my Caline CP-05 including TCE, Digitech, Zoom, Nux, Behringer. As I mentioned before, my Line 6 M5 needs isolating also my Boss RC-3 Looper.
Hi Shane ive bought an american original 50s strat, green PRS and mooer GE200 on your advice and they're all awsome! I was wondering if you cud answer this, i've just started recording some demos shud i mic up my amp or simulate the amps on the mooer plugged straight into my mixer, what sounds best do you reck?
OK so I'll start by telling you how much I enjoy your channel,(yes I do subscribe) so here is my question, Fender Champion 40 Guitar Combo Amp, I watched your video on it, and as your one who would change thing for "better" sound, what did you think and or feel about the stock speaker? Would you change it, if so what speaker would you change it to? About me, I play in the bedroom, I'm not in a band, but I'm searching for a tone, but don't want to blow out the windows to get it, what if anything can you tell me? If you need more information from me, I'm tell you anything I can about what I have now and use. I have a pile of amps and guitars, I know my own skill level is part of this, but still I would what input you can give. (I put this comment with this video because I'm hoping you see it soon, as apposed to later.)
Changing the speaker will greatly improve/change the sound of the amp. I usually say a Eminence Texas Heat for solid state amps it makes it fat, loud, and way warmer sounding.
Free trumpet..ha!!!
ARSE trumpet! ;oP
Worthy of Monty Python
Appreciate how you aren’t a gear snob and will recommended products on the quality and price instead of prestige. 👍🏻
Caline stuff has always been awesome for me, this pedalboard and power supply look like they're keeping up the good work.
I have the predecessor Power supply, It's really good. No buzz or disturbance in the Chain.
Another stellar vid Shane!! You set the bar for the rest of us!!

I hope you're enjoying it mate. It's a really great delay! :-)
Nice demo man ! :-)
Pretty good Shane, however I still prefer my Behringer PB6 moulded case with built in PS! Served me well!
it is made for guitar players who are on tight budget. as long it is for rock and roll..
'It comes with a free trumpet'....best part of the video lol
The Caline CP-04 power supply outputs are not isolated! In fact, this gear is a daisy chain, but overpriced!
Thanks for the heads up!

I've read this too. A bit disappointing considering the features it offers.

Does the pedal board fit in the case comfortably with the pedals on?
Hi Shane!is the CP-04 isolated power supply?
How is this with something like a Boss Dd7? I've heard digital pedals can affect power supplies or something.

yes
can i fit a 1 inch thick powersupply below the board?
which recomended between caline cp-4 or caline cp-5 ???
I actually bought one of these and it was so noisy I couldn’t even hear the instrument. I bought a Voodoo Lab, instead, and it sounds great.
Bag looks like a recorder gig bag

OK, like you used in the Peavey, well thanks vary much for the information, and your quick answer.
is it really isolated PSU?
why is there an usb port?
Probably for plugging in an USB LED light to light your pedalboard. Just a guess.
Anyone recommend using the power supply for and HX stomp?? Lol
I hate wires.
wires think you're mean
That's wires problem.
