To be honest I have no idea about how it feels to be on such big bikes. The most powerful bike that I have ever ridden is the duke 250 but I still watch these reviews. But why? Man how can a person miss these amazing short films from pd?

I can't speak English very well but I love this channel.
This Triumph is better than te Africa twin?
You could use Google Translate if you can't understand me. If you take Adventure Touring as the basis of comparison, it would involve both on Road and off Road riding. It is always preferable to have a lighter motorcycle (or one which feels light) instead of a heavy one. I've seen many people Prefer Africa Twin over the Tiger , BMW GS or Ducati Multistrada, the reason being, AT carries itself as a bike which feels really light. Secondly, one doesn't require 140 Bhp or more (Which the Tiger, GS and Multistrada does) when you go off-road. Even on road, such kind of power can never be fully utilised. This is where the Africa Twin shines. It has enough power to be fun on road and enough power to make it comfortable off road. Thirdly, 21 inches tire of the AT makes it more stable and capable off road. Fourthly, Japanese motorcycles are don't cost much and servicing is relatively affordable. Finally, You have an automatic transmission option in Africa Twin, which is a BOON for Rookie riders. Considering the fact that you asked this very question, I suppose you are a rookie off roader and Africa Twin makes way more sense because you always know that you won't stall your motorcycle off road.
If you personally ask me, I would go for the DCT version of Africa Twin because the price , Power and capability makes more sense when compared to others. Off road, the Africa Twin will smoke any Adventure Tourer because it is born out of Dakar
