Indeed. I tried to lean forward at one point and the seat belt prevented me getting anywhere near the screen. I guess they have the same functionality throughout the plane, where touchscreen makes more sense…
Thanks for the upload. Looks like a very good product. Whether it’s worth the extra cost depends on your finances, if it’s not a problem then go for it. I always fly business class on my long haul routes and a few years back decided to upgrade to first just to have the experience. Though I enjoyed it very much I decided business was everything I needed and I’d rather spend the difference on something else.
Thanks. I was in the bizarre situation that, as business class was already fairly sold out, the only business seats were in the ‘J’ fully flexible fare bucket. So a first class seat in the ‘A’ semi-flexible fare bucket was cheaper.
Same here, my family and I always fly business class but one time we decided “why not try the first class for once” so we upgraded and as you said, business class has everything you need and sometimes even more. It only really makes sense to go first class if you can easily enough afford it, so now we go business again which is plenty good enough and then save the “extra for first” for other things..
Good and informative review. Personally I’d prefer it without the background music track which I think detracts somewhat from the overall production. Just my opinion though. Keep up the good work.
Great video, much cleaner than BA First and does seem you had a better service. Also you should have 'lounged hopped', there is a CX First (which is the best), AA F (not great) and BA F as well.
despite negative comments from people, i enjoyed the first class cabin on the a380. flew syd-dxb-lhr, years ago; the crew from syd-dxb was stellar- cannot say the same about the crew from dxb-lhr ( quite cold and unattentive )
Thanks. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to film the takeoff from the window, so didn’t have much plane noise. Hopefully it’s all sorted for my return journey back to London tomorrow 🤞
Had very similar meals/menus in Business Class from LHR to MEL on QF10. I just think it's a big step behind many other F class offerings. Hell, aside from the wider seat, there are many business class offerings better than QF F.
Not sure about Qantas(?) > we’ve been diehard Singapore Airlines fans for ages! Quite certain the meals we’ve experienced on bus & first onboard SQ are way way better !
I am a totally rusted on Qantas traveller with P status, yet this product compares poorly with the middle eastern airlines at J level. Hoping to book for the first Project Sunrise flight direct from Melbourne to LHR or Paris or Frankfurt, as a matter of principle, but may not be impressed too much as variation with the Melb/ Perth/ LHR service may well be minimal.
It’s alright. Not the best tho they could have designed it better. I’m cool with most but I would prefer the seat to be inside and my leg to be outside ( when I sleep ) that way I am not close to the isle and people walking by. Beside it feels cosier and more private when the seat is inside that outside ❤ overall i would still take singapore airline first
Nice video, the QF F product looked nice. I have flown QF F on a number of occasions pre-Covid. I have to say that menu didn't look too amazing for a First Class menu at the start of a 24 hour journey.
The dessert wine looks like De Bortoli Noble One, its the best sticky we have in OZ but overrated compared to a decent Sauterne or Hungarian dessert wine.
Very nice, does QF not take you through immigration and directly to the lounge? I saw a recent Air France video on almost the same leg where they not only did this but drove you from the lounge right to the aircraft 😊
The ground service wasn’t that great! I wasn’t even told there was a lounge at check-in… On the next leg from Singapore to Sydney I was told they didn’t make announcements in the lounge, and so was told when I need to be at the gate. Unfortunately there was then a delay boarding the flight, and I sat at the gate for an hour with everyone else. After which they then board First, Business and Premium Economy all at once - 130 other passengers, on top of the 14 first class people, all fighting to get on to the plane…
your so lucky to have flown first class. most of us cant afford to. i noticed you didnt mention at the end how much 1st class cost.. so how can we compare to business class... the food looked delish.
Great editing! Thank you for publishing. The poached eggs, smoked salmon and toast looked incredible. Trying to figure out how the crew executed that in the galley.
Thanks for the TR. unfortunately it looks like a business+ product in many areas, although the hard product refresh looks good. The dessert wine looked very much like a DeBortoli Noble One botrytis semillon from the Riverina region of NSW
The food and wine looks underwhelming, compared to Air Fance or SQ or BA for that matter. If i should spend a lot of miles on a upgade this seems be waste of co2 and points.
Enjoyed your "sleek"production. I would not call " First class" the service you got at Heathrwow ... no dedicated first class lounge ...a hardly "fast track" channel ... you were not even escorted to your seat as you entered the aircraft ... that is extremely poor ! If that is the best Qantas can offer, I would choose another airline.
The upper deck has Business Class stretching from the front right through to behind the wing. The front cabin on either deck would be the quietest part of the aircraft, being in front of the wing (and engines). Directly above First (aim front of Business) was a lounge area for passengers from both cabins.
Hi, great review! I am just curious as to whether this was an award ticket and if so, how did you book it? As far as I know, Qantas award tickets can be booked via BA Executive Club but the terrible BA search tool isn't showing Qantas flight availability in any class.
i also do that wine tasting on a plane before i ask for the glass to be filled, even though i have no idea what i am tasting for as i have zero understanding of wine. However, needs is a must.
Yes. Fairly quickly after a long queue for immigration at Singapore, due to the checking of everyone’s Covid vaccination certificates and health questionnaires.
First class Qantas looks like rubbish when compared to Air France who on the same journey put you in a seperate first class lounge, feed you and transport you to your plane in a BMW, then feed you (again) and look after you with personalised service, including taking you to the luggage carousal. Im afraid Qantas are not half the airline it used to be.
The food is not at the level for first class !!! I looks to bassic and no exclusivity for a supposed high end product !!! The dessert wine youbuad was probably a Sauternes !!! It is sad more a more airlines do cost cut in their high end products for the expensive rates they charge !!!
I don't like sharing lounge with business class passengers. Unfortunately, most of them are not well mannered and sometimes behave like they are kings and queens but without the crown. Some don't pay their ticket, some others are crew members and some others will never fly business again and you can see them literally jump on every single items they can possibly grasp for free like their life depends on it. As a frequent first class traveler, I do need discretion, tranquility, space, silence in the lounge. The air France one at the Roissy Charles de Gaule airport , called la première, is one of the best first class lounge I have ever encounteredand you have a car drive you to the plane where the captain himself comes and say hi. I am sorry but after spending a 14000 euros ticket, there is no way you shall wait on a queue line anytime. It may sound awful but it is comprehensible. The air france business class lounge is crap but that is only my point of view. Anyway, thank you for sharing your nice little videos I have always enjoyed watching.
Heathrow is a known issue and one I would expect first class to shine from door to door. Shared lounge on their key route?, This is nice but like a business class experience. What is the FC to BC cost? Thanks for a concise review (different musak).
An excellent, factual report without unnecessary jabber. Although you said the lamb was tough, I note that you ate it all. With all the great food , starting with the lounge and all through the flight (and you cleaned your plates), I'm surprised that you don't weigh 400 pounds.
Let me know what you think of the review. Like, comment and share. And don’t forget to subscribe for future reviews.
I liked the review but could do without the background handclapping music thank you
Thanks. With hindsight I agree about the music. I should have selected a few tracks, rather than one throughout.
Get that OCD treated Bella 😂
The background sound really puts me off, also the full monotone commentry
Good video, however, it would be a lot better without the background music.
Amazing review… short, concise, to the point.. I appreciate the angle of the camera to see the service.. keep up the great work! :)
Thank you so much. Really appreciate the comment 🙏
First Time I Flew Whit Qantas Was In 1998 Frome London To Melbourne On The B747-400.Great Work
Thanks
Thanks for the review. I love that Quantas lounge but I think I will wait on their new First Class product on their Project Sunrise A350.
Don’t wait. Life is too short.
Fantastic well made video. This has to be one of the best I’ve ever seen. The narration and editing are superb. Well done and thank you.😊
Thank you so much 🙏 Glad you enjoyed it!
I never understand the use of a touchscreen monitor when it’s out of reach to touch from your seating position 🤔
Indeed. I tried to lean forward at one point and the seat belt prevented me getting anywhere near the screen. I guess they have the same functionality throughout the plane, where touchscreen makes more sense…
Very nice. I love the graphics. Makes it easier to visualize
Thanks 😊
Excellent video...watched it all the way !!!
Thanks. Glad to hear you enjoyed! 🙏
Nicely done 👍
Thanks for sharing
Greetings from Helsinki ❄️ Finland

Music needs work
I do love first class on a long flight best way to travel

Thanks for the comment. I’m conscious the music was a bit repetitive and maybe too loud

Yes
It was…
@@DoorsToAuto Absolutely annoying.

Nice review. Great video. Never flew Qantas however, looks promising. Stay healthy and safe.
Thanks 🙏
Enjoyed the review. Good pace and editing. Thanks for sharing the experience.
Thanks for the feedback 🙏
Really good video and look at the product. My only (personal) suggestion is maybe reduce the noise level of the music. Cheers.
Thanks for the feedback. I didn’t review using headphones, as I published whilst travelling. I’ll try to remember to do for the future. 🙏
Fantastic vlog thanks
Thank you 🙏

I find your videos so relaxing, background music and narrating is on point.
Glad you enjoy it!
A380 the flying apartment block. Love them
Well made, low key, not an unnecessarily stretched moment. Good on yer, Cobber!!....
Thanks 🙏
Great video thanks for sharing
Thanks 🙏
There was a typing error on the menu in the lounge. 😅
This is a clear, to-the-point and well-filmed review! Thank you.
Thanks 🙏
Nice review of this flight, would be nice though,to hear the sound of the plane now & then in future!.,did enjoy watching your video though👍
Thanks. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to film the takeoff from the window, so didn’t have much plane noise. Hopefully it’s all sorted for my return journey back to London tomorrow 🤞
Great review! 👍
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
The pouch they provided is the most stylish I have ever seen quite beautiful, never mind the contents
It has proved very useful storing the cables I need to take to the office 😀
Could’ve talked about the first class lounge at the front.
I have met you once. A other great review. Well done!!!
Great review. Excellent narration. Maybe some jazz music.
Thanks for the comment. Appreciated 🙏
Awesome video! Very great review overall this has to be the best review.
Wow, thanks! 🙏
Love this review, music was a vibe too 👌 ✨️
Thank you 🙌
Excellent video! I have yet to fly 1st class but I’m hoping to make it happen soon
Thanks 🙏
You’ve got a very alluring speaking voice.
😁
Really liked the video, but the muaic choice was a big mistake. It was pretty annoying.

Pleased to see wine glasses. Could a 2nd person sit by/under the screen and have meals together? Cheers

Thanks for a great trip report. What is your favourite First Class?
Thanks. So far I think Emirates based on the overall experience, although Ethiad had a bigger suite.
E M I R A T E S 🥂

Do u planespot everyday? u might see my flight landing from Singapore in over a month, BA12
your so lucky to have flown first class. most of us cant afford to. i noticed you didnt mention at the end how much 1st class cost.. so how can we compare to business class... the food looked delish.
Bizarrely on this flight, a business class fare was more than a first class fare. But that's because business class was full when I booked.
Error for printing of wine? Not an issue unless the quality was compromised. More interested in the wine opposed to faulting the menu.
The point I was making was that I did not know what the wine was, although it tasted pretty good 😊
Great editing! Thank you for publishing. The poached eggs, smoked salmon and toast looked incredible. Trying to figure out how the crew executed that in the galley.
Thanks 🙏 The breakfast really was first rate
Thanks for the TR. unfortunately it looks like a business+ product in many areas, although the hard product refresh looks good. The dessert wine looked very much like a DeBortoli Noble One botrytis semillon from the Riverina region of NSW
Thanks. It was a good flight and certainly a substantial upgrade from the business class product - review of that to follow…
Superlatively super
👍
Why criticise the the fortified wine when you haven’t mentioned what all the previous wines were??
This is why I fly Emirates
Audio?

As someone who hasn’t flown first class yet lol, I am curious. If first class was downstairs, what was upstairs on this flight?

@@DoorsToAuto Thanks for that, now I know where to go when choosing the best seat 😉
Tough or not. you seemed to wolf down your supper anyway. It would have been cute if you had faux kangaroo pouch slippers❤️
True!!
I'll stick with SIA. Qantas do zilch for me.

Ha. Not sure I’d ever have the confidence to say the wine was bad, but polite to go through the motions… 😀
Do you still require vaccination to fly Qantas
I didn’t have to show anything so I assume no
@@DoorsToAuto Thank you.
Did your bags arrive?
Yes. Fairly quickly after a long queue for immigration at Singapore, due to the checking of everyone’s Covid vaccination certificates and health questionnaires.
@@DoorsToAuto yeah right let's how that finishes soon. Love the reviews

not a compelling hard product in 2022
It's hardly first class compared to the likes of EK and LH
very good Sir! Two major issues Your music is wrong its overwhelming your comments Second, dont show off finished dishes, disgusting!
