Juices are flowing and havnt seen my goat in a year so this is the most excitement I’ve had in a while , really great pieces, I’ve never heard of the acid wash. Must respect to veteran collectors, as new collector Case should give us a chance some nice pieces like this too .

Great collection Pete! I have only been collecting Case knives since 2021. I love historical or historically significant knives. I wish Case would bring back some more significant knives that haven't been out in a few years. So us new collectors have a chance to get some of these old patterns new again. Even some previously released patterns with some different blades would be better then a baby doctor. To me, a regular doctor's knife with a spatula is historically significant. I like the copperhead alot, but I've only got one of them. Same black delrin one that you've got there.👍I really like that yellow CV version, wish I would have picked one of those up too. The other vault pattern that I like alot is the barlow, and I guess that one must have been really popular because they decided to put them back in regular production. Cheers, buddy!
The Copperhead is a classic pattern and one of my besties. You have a great collection. I did pick up a single blade when they came out of the vault in smooth black Sycamore wood, a beauty. Nice handful of Copperheads Pete, thanks buddy.

Those are definitely vault worthy knives! I love the Copperhead. I am not sure if I have a Case, but I do have a few RR's and love them. One is from the Stomeworx series and is just spectacular! I'm with you on the stupidity of choosing the baby doctors knife. When I was watching the video on the release I thought it was a practical joke! I guess it was and the joke is on us!
I know what you're saying Pete although I did like the pocket Hunter and gun stock. the only copperhead I have is a RR in Buckshot bone. But anyway case quality just doesn't seem to be there anymore that's why I started collecting old westerns
Yes definitely, need big pattern knives, they have so many patterns they use to produce , the dogleg trapper would have been nice, or i think they would have made a killing if they bought the 35 pattern jack knife back with a wide assortment of handle covers, those regular jacks would have sold like hot cakes, , I have a couple from the 80s, they are fantastic, hopefully they bring something big out next year, I don't buy their little baby toy knives like the baby doc or mini pocket hunter, or the small congress, the big 88 congress would have been great too, thanks pete
Oh let’s see what this is . I have prob 6/7 copperheads action is ok, a bit soft. I’d prefer something stronger and crispier . I have one in whale scrimshaw , cv steel that my dad carried, that one is obviously special and beautiful to boot. Overall it may be my favorite case pattern .

Unfortunately I come to expect wobbly blades, burs, and weak springs on modern Case knives. Getting a good one is a lottery win.
Yup these and the copper locks are near perfect models, I dont have a single blade copperhead though so for now the case CopperLock is the bees knees.
