Very nicely done and hitting all of the rumba quinto marking points which makes it authentic and speaking the language of the rumba tradition. It is simple but there is beauty in that and this is Akatemia (so I assume also intended as a teaching and academic exercise). Next step, loosen up, express yourself, and have fun--within the framework of the language of course. Plenty opportunity to veer off and go where no drummer has gone before, then come back to the quinto markings. Thank you guys, good job.
Hi Stefan, I hope I am not too late with this response but there are several people in RUclips who explain the soloing! Take one of my favorites here Michael de Miranda: ruclips.net/video/taOL9_YjhzI/видео.html Enjoy!
@@stefanblue660 Oh wait! That's not me! And yes, he's doing other soloing! The reason I pointed to Michael de Miranda's video is because what he says at the beginning that soloing is personal. I figured since you wrote that 2 years ago, you probably had found some soloing videos but I didn't know. So, I recommended the one that I always recommend to people! :-). I like what this guy is doing in this video. Anyway, all good stuff!!
Saludos. Amigo Americano, ..
Wow so aggressive! Rumba Akatemia is the name of the channel. In my opinion the video demonstrates the clave in 3-2, soloing on the quinto and guaguancó on two congas ( salidor and the 3 golpes or also called tres dos). This can be helpful to a beginner. Now, would you care to explain what you found mediocre about the presentation? I think it would help such beginner to understand what, if anything, is wrong with it.

What is rumba Akatemia? Also what are you trying to prove with this mediocre presentation?
