I love the honesty and truth about the health of horses and how people dont understand their needs - the difference between a horse allowed to move and be with others vs little paddocks and alone in a small space. It was really awful in Calfiornia and I told people for years how bad this was for their horses health - so many horses with bad backs and being ridden sore. I am so grateful for Mia stating this on the this video. And for whom ever posted this. And the rancher for having Mia come to his home and demonstrate!

I’m so happy you are making videos. I joined you about 5 years ago because I had equine therapy. I used to be an equestrian rider and grew afraid to ride. Your videos are so calming and bring me great peace. I admire your teaching methods and if I ever own a horse this is the only way to train !! thank you !!

It is beautiful to see this horse working with you. Galloping with the horse -even behind the fence- brings you near heaven, isn't it. I love the calm way you let the horse be happy and he follows ! simply great

She didn’t want a sparring partner… he needs to surrender and let her be the head of the herd, not him… he’s much much safer that way… Mia is just an amazing trainer✌🏾☮️🙋‍♀️

@@Ellie-zd1ri from the gate? I feel he kinda was ‘ ya lady, don’t be bossing me around’ he was just like that to me… I felt he was not big on the surrender idea… just my observation…

RULE #1: Never trust anyone who can hurt an animal. With most creatures there is dominance, which does not inform or bring communication and partnership, but fear, anxiety, avoidance, even threats from animals. Then there is leadership, takes patience, observation, and with wild animals appreciation of the rules of nature, with domestic animals--well, Mia Lykke Nielsen has the knowledge she has spent years observing, working with, and works--some needing more time and healing than other, but the rewards of a shared confidence is worth every minute.
I do think mules are very smart and will not run off the cliff that human unerringly do, they dig in and say, "No".
