    Can somebody explain why this channel only has 21k subs???
    Ive been watching from the start, way before the garage was built. Remember him picking up a salvage black car for his wife. Was years ago. But the channel just doesn't seem to grow, and i dont understand why.

    Great work again Todd, from where you started to where you are now with these repairs is amazing. Don't beat yourself up with the stuff that even professionals in fully enclosed air flow controlled booths contend with. Still can't believe you only have 21k subs, maybe you wanna buddy up with another RUclipsr and do a joint project. Keep up the great work.

    I think you are correct about lighting. It is essential to be able to see the” wet line “correctly. It can be a particularly difficult problem on a flat vertical panel like a door which creates its own shadow. Low diffuse light sources will help. Most commercial paint booths feature them. Nevertheless, a great job. I agree that is one of the most beautiful “ blues” I’ve ever seen.

    Looks good. Don't sweat the minor imperfections, they are on the passengers side. Practically makes them non-existent.😎

    Paint cane out really good... and considering it's a beater/comuter car, it's really really good... the paint match is right on.

    Imperfections are just a part of painting and as others have said your finishes are pretty good for the environment your in. I'm not great painter but a few things i noticed that may help is when your painting, spray 2-3 inches past your panel gaps. It reduces build up of paint/clear on those edges and I also noticed your pulling the trigger spraying directly on the panel. That will also lead to build up and runs. Puller the trigger with the gun on a 45degree to the panel and flick your right to the 90 position as u move a bit. These are things i did when i first started and noticed a difference when i corrected it. You said it yourself practice will get you there eventually. Love the channel and what your doing, keep moving looking forward to this years content. Also check out Garage Noise on youtube he uses the drizzle and r500 lvlp guns alot and has a few tips and stuff on setup. I've been playing around with an r500 gun and it can get some very nice finishes.

    only thing that comes to mind for a 5L v8 would be something like a mustang or a Jaguar. but neither of those are particularly exceedingly rare but I do have a lot of affluent people around me... expensive would be the Jaguar though

    Just gotta either slow down when flow is low or speed up if high flow. Keep your distance steady and practice bro. Otherwise you’re doing great for someone who doesn’t do it for a job and only occasionally as a hobby . I paint industrial equipment but we don’t use a clear coat. Vertical surfaces are always a pain. I still get runs lol

  • @phillipclaridge3112
    @phillipclaridge3112 5 месяцев назад

    You often make light of your ability with the paint gun but in my opinion, taking into account the conditions in which you work. I think it all turns out well. As you rightly say, your lighting is no where sufficient and I think you need more space around the vehicle. If you can deal with those things, I am sure your finish would come on in leaps and bounds.

    An old painter told me there is no such thing as a good painter just good polishers! The only advice I can give is don’t move around so much,stand in one spot and paint as far as you can reach in both directions,once done then move on to the next section and repeat the process,don’t try and paint the whole side of the car in one go
