The first lady is Helen Skopp, a stenographer from Washington, D.C., who is paired with Pete Martin, a well-known Saturday Evening Post journalist. In the question-answer period of the show, Helen answered all the literature questions herself and left Pete practically speechless. I have the audio of that program and am looking for the video, if anyone has seen it.

No one will ever replace Groucho, it been tried. First by Bill Cosby,I think even the late Buddy Hackett tried and those shows never lasted as long as Groucho,s version did and now Jay Leno. However with Groucho you give him room to insult you and he will. Groucho hated it if you got a bigger then him.
