Great video as usual. Point of mushrooms is not what you see but the mycylium (root system ) supporting trees through the roots, and improving the micro biology the soil.

When cooking on one burner and waiting for one thing to cook while trying to keep something else hot, I use an old mylar survival blanket loosely folded over the food you need to keep hot. It will keep your food piping hot !

The fly agaric , you can use however you have to boil them and make them into a tea ☕️. From experience; they work 😂

Drive down to Kingussie, you can get the best fish and chips there. Then on to Newtonmore and Laggan Bridge. Its stunning. search for the Laggan Bridge cafe and then drive up the side road and past the school, keep going and the view on the other side is amazing. they filmed the latest Bond not far from there.
Get some wind deflectors for all your windows and you can open them an inch or so , when its raining or when its too warm at night

There's a great little walk that starts behind the youth hostel in Aviemore, great views over the town and the cairngorms.
Cairngorm is my special place. Sad to see no parking in the lower car park now 😮 always parked there.. Ditch the aluminium and get yourself some stainless pans and kettle. Much better for your health 😊

Great video love the forrest trail with those stunning views over the loch what a great place for a stealthy camp. The wood looks really good with all the moss on the trees and rocks.

If you wanna have the best mash ever follow the following. Add a pinch of salt, ground black pepper, blob of butter, a bit of blue milk, 1 egg yolk only not the white, mix vigorously till all creamy and fluffy, enjoy. You won’t have mash any other way mate proper old school and the best mash.
I'll have to try that, never added egg yolk to my mash, that sounds nice.
I like to boil a few garlic cloves with the spuds & mash them together with butter & chives, yummy.

I noticed that you can't open your windows when it's raining like that.
You should get a set of wind deflectors for the galaxy for all 4 windows.
It means you could open the windows a little without rain getting into your car.

Cooking hack,take things off the heat before they burn 😅 another good vid,im thinking the yorkshire east coast for our camp next weekend,any ideas?
Great tip, that's how i make my bacon fat crispy without burning any of it.
Cook until nearly it's done > turn the heat source off > then leave it in the pan (covered/lid down) for a few mins afterwards (over the warm hob). 10/10 bacon everytime.

Mate that hike you were planning up to Cairngorm must’ve included another hill or that as it’s no way those hours up and back to the Ski Centre . It may have included Ben Macdui,which is a mountain not to be lost in on fog etc
yeh it included a ridge line and another monro
@@wanderingwhere best you avoided it then as it’s a very different world up on those tops in those conditions. You could’ve headed straight up to Cairngorm itself though but the mountains will still be there for you for another trip
