Personally not a huge deal for me but i get it. Substitutions is a lot more mild of a term and can even be shortened to subs and it's still pretty clear and cut what it's referencing. Same with things like vanish in dbfz it's pretty simple. Those compared to words like reishi and konpaku, are just generally more friendly and easy to use terms i would say. I've seen bleach (og not tybw) and i def forgot what those terms meant exactly and was confused at first during the trailer.

My understanding of the konpaku is, The highlighted part is the base amount of soul damage the character will deal. The reason why it goes up to 3 bar sometimes despite only 2 of them being highlighted is because Killing with a Super might take away an additional bar and also "Now or Never" attacks. If they take 3 bars it is because after an evolution, character's base soul damage becomes 3, that + a super attack makes 4. It is a bit fancy of round system, but they definitely make it sound complicated for no reason lol. Advertising it as a comeback mechanic is really misleading because while it can work that way, it can also cause players to get steamrolled really fast with evolutions. I also wonder if all this will allow them to design interesting character specific mechanics like Soifon's mark.
ichigo has no evolution bar when he goes bankai at the end. so i assume if you have 2 konpaku or less left you can just enter bankai without worrying about filling the bar or running out. It's your last life so it makes sense you should be able to permanently go into the highest mode at that point.
My fear at first was that the character seemed Big and heavy, so the combat would be slow… I’m glad that the mobility seems pretty good, and the graphics are so good 🙏 can’t wait.
Weird doesn't mean bad, it just different! Which is actually great for devs to be trying different stuff which each game. We just gotta see in the final game if their new ideas are a hit or not 😃

Just wanna point out that the "REVERSE" Bar is your shikai transformation, Byakuya turns into shikai but we only get to see ichigo do it in shikai where zangetsu shows up beside him and he glows with a yellow aura. The reverse gauge will be hollowfication when activated during bankai I guarantee it 👌
What im looking forward now is what is single player going to look like in bleach is it gonna be like story and then battle or we can explore areas like karakura town,soul society and hueco mundo
The hp locking abilities it seems is indeed weird rather wanted to charge up abilities and just use them and have regular health bars like sparking zero
What if the ending cutscene at the end is a final move everone has if timer runs out lol😅 That would be sooooo cooolll, like playing with friends and you play short games Like whoever has more konpaku/lives when timer runs out wins

Its just that i think many ppl either didnt play tenkaichi or weren’t as good as they think they was, hence they dont recognize why it solos every arena fighter in the last 20 years even though it came way before. Like…. Sparking Zero isn’t “saving” anything because Tenkaichi was always there…. It’s just going reclaim its goat status & throne. devs never tried to make arena fighters as complex as tenkaichi, thats why i agree that arena fighters (except tenkaichi) has always been trash. Well. We don't know soul resonance is open world. I saw videos it looked open zone. Small zones at that (the game still looks awesome and I'm hyped.) Also Rebirth of souls could also be able to walk around karakura town but keep ur expectations in check.

I'm really intrigued to see how soi fon will work , u cant have a characters that can end you in 2 hits , is her bankai just one rocket and that's it?
