The World is a sadder place now this guy has passed away, thanks for the laughs Jethro, you entertained millions and bought laughter to all who saw you. RIP
So lovely to hear Jethro just chatting. The world of comedy is a much poorer place without him in it. Comedy is, as he says, a very personal thing, & whenever I listen to or watch Jethro I always end up with tears running down my face, my sides aching ~ & a few things a tad more moist than they ought to be.❤❤❤
When I was living just outside Penzance in Gulval, I had his brother Don Rowe come and clean my chimney. He spent a whole hour drinking coffee and telling jokes while leaning on our fireplace. He was as funny as Jethro. What a great Cornish family. RIP Jethro, you will be sorely missed by us all, especially here in Cornwall.
It really pulled on my heart when Jethro talked about making the old ladies laugh - and saying he'd have walked there to entertain them for free. Great man, very funny, and like others have said - a gentleman.
The funniest man I’ve ever seen in my life; I’m envious like you wouldn’t believe of you Lewis. Jethro was a huge favourite of my late grandfather, and we shared that… fond memories ❤❤
My mum used to love him on the Des O'Conner show. Took her to see him at Weston-super-Mare in 1993, a few weeks after my father died. Made herlaugh for the first time in a while
Jethro one of the best entertainers, comedians ever, gives you the stitch when laughing, and a brilliant singer, rock on Jethro!! Great interview Lewis, thanks.
I met Geoff in 2018 having been a fan for thirty years. It was like meeting my hero. My son took a photo with me stood next to him. I'm six foot two and he said "you're going to make me look short you bugger". Had a chat about his early years and he really liked to communicate. Best comedian ever..
I can't agree with Gwynford Dafyyd enough. As for this nut Ray Turner below.. ignore his comments he is obviously obsessed with the celebrity culture. Immediately he comes across as Anti Christian and yet is pro-abnormality. He clearly lacks education as he thinks the bible was written by asians 2000 yrs ago he might either means it was written then or just after by the at that time mostly jewish converts to christianity or he might instead mean the quoran which was made up by one man in the in the early 7th century AD. Comedy in the UK is becoming very anti WASP and the media not only allows this but encourages it. Recently so called celebs particularly comedians mostly and most certainly those in chat or panel type shows are apparently trying to brainwash us all. They are mostly vocally anti brexit, which was decided by a majority vote, and for some reason seem obsessed with US president Trump. They are it seems staunchly anti-christian and love to belittle british culture when possible. They oppose anyone talking common sense politically being quick to label them racist and put them down where andn whenever possible. All this has become very apparent with most of the comedians under 40 being more evident the younger and therfore more ignorant they are. You see them on their way up doing ok then suddenly it seems as their careers become both prominent and more sucessful their material changes to fall in line with the celebrity culture.. now why might that be... I wonder (not) If you want watch their latest stuff then watch some of their early stuff and the change becomes blatently apparent. Watch them have a laugh by all means but do not take a word they say as being truthful unless you have checked it and do not allow their repeated propaganda to influence your thoughts and beliefs.
Very much understated/underrated regional comedian...love that Cornish accent...Can't believe he's gone. First quote I heard from him..."Oh bugger...oh bloody arse..."
The only comedian to make me cry with laughter. A true legend of comedy. Met him in person and saw him live a few times. Spent most of his life making people laugh so the least i could do was spend a day of my life paying my last respects at his funeral in Truro. RIP Jethro
We love Jethro here in the Midlands too. I'm in my mid-thirties and absolutely love him to bits, as a comedian and a damn nice bloke. Was lucky enough to see him live about 10 years ago, and would love to again before he retires. Hilarious. Kudos to the interviewer in this vid, great style; very respectful. Thanks for a great upload.
I used to work summer season behind the bar in holiday camps between Looe and Polperro. Nightly entertainment was different, but what was there one Tuesday was there the next, and the next etc. throughout the season. This is where I first saw Jethro and we are talking 1973-1976. He made my stomach hurt with laughter then, he still does today. Brilliant comedian.
I’ve been watching this for years.I went down to Cornwall last week and stayed near Hayle.I sat near where this interview happened and watched it. Went to St Bunyan,Sancreed and St Just for a wonder round.Amazing,One of my bucket list ticked off, all because of this absolute legend -Geoffrey Rowe- Thank you to him and thanks for this Lewis Top man
I didn’t know who Jethro was. I was lying in hospital and the fella in the bed opposite was going home he passed my a tape and said listen to the fella he’ll cheer you up. I put the headphones on and within a minute I was roaring with laughter and it carried on for a few minutes the nurse came over took the headphones off took the tape off me and said “you’ll end up falling out of bed you’re not getting this back until you’re ready for home. The best five minutes of laughter I’ve ever had. I still watch his dvd’s very very funny man. Thank you for the laughter.
When I was on the wagons, I'd often stop for the night at Lewdown, back before the A30 bypass was built and was lucky to see Jethro perform a few times. A real gentleman and the funniest comedian I've ever seen.
❤️ Bleddy love this man!! THIS TRAIN DON’T STOP CAMBORNE WEDNESDAYS is my most favourite joke of all time! 🤣 Well done to the interviewer for allowing Jethro to speak and tell his amazing stories. So many don’t seem to listen and rush their questions. Respect! Great interview!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Geoffrey McIntyre Rowe AKA Jethro, I only got to see you live once but it was the funniest evening I have ever experienced. My friends and I were in tears of laughter and all our sides hurt afterwards from it. Thank you for all the laughs, and rest in peace buddy you earned it.
Jethro was a naturally talented Comedian, born to do this for all his life. He made so many people laugh until they could laugh no more. That’s not easy to do but he smashed it. Gone but not forgotten. RIP Jethro ❤️
Well done Lewis, a very good interview. It's good to see Jethro relaxed and being himself. He was a fantastic bloke, and a great comic. I saw Jethro in Penzance years ago, a superb evening. The thing I remember about St Just was the bl##dy fog horn, I was camping just near the thing when it went off.
One of the most funniest man I've been glad to see .... shame we lost him 😞 the bloke must of loved life and found a laugh every day in everything.. RIP 🙏 you legend

I first heard of Jethro when I went to Penwith 6th Form College in 1990; it was a Business Studies lesson, and Gus and Lee were talking about Pemberthy, as well as playing Countdown.

Jethro seemed a nice bloke
The funniest man I’ve ever seen in my life; I’m envious like you wouldn’t believe of you Lewis. Jethro was a huge favourite of my late grandfather, and we shared that… fond memories ❤❤
He was such a pleasant funny man, the world will be a little dimmer for all who knew him and all who heard him ❤

Great stand-up old school comedian. Appeals to my sense of humour. He is also a real gentleman.
Not one of the greatest commedians to come out of Cornwall. One of the funniest men the entire British Isles ever produced!

And another thing that no one has mentioned yet, Jeff was a champion clay shooter and shot for Cornwalls clay team. Lovely, lovely bloke.

Jethro, they don't laugh at modern comedy because it just isn't funny anymore. Everybody's frightened of committing a "hate crime".
What a lovely man
RIP great man
Jimmy Davidson tells the story that he got Jethro on Des O'Connor show ..
Lovely gentleman.
Can't find any footage of the comedian Dennis Beard (or Beards), Jethro mentions.
A true gentleman
Gorgeous man
Just a very funny man !
