    I also had a laser power supply go out at almost exactly at 11 months. I was at Workbenchcon for the week and my wife was at home using our 35/100. I was worried the entire week but after returning home and contacting Brian on Monday he shipped me a new one. I had it by Wednesday and was back up and running in less than a hour.
    FANTASTIC laser, fantastic customer service and a fantastic community.
    Thanks for the videos. I enjoy your channel.

    Thank you for sharing this information. I'm glad that it fits through a standard doorway; I've always wondered that, lol.

    Out of curiosity... have you ever considered upgrading your air compressor?? The extra air from a real air compressor can improve your cutting speed by such a dramatic amount I thought I would recommend it.

      Yes I actually have been wanting to look into this! I've heard many good things about upgrading the compressor but just haven't taken the time to do it and what to purchase, etc. Thanks for bringing it up, I will have to do that soon.

    What is the main difference between thunder and glowforge? And which would you recommend more?

    • @85thandPine
      @85thandPine  9 месяцев назад +1

      It's really going to depend on what you want to make. What are you most interested? For business or for hobby use? Where will you be putting it?

      @@85thandPine for business. It would either be in my work shed outside or office space inside. Is there a difference in overall size that you can cut for either?

      Thunder has many different size machines. From similar to the Glowforge to ones as big that you can lay in them. What are you most interested in making? Very large projects, or smaller items?@@jenifferpanko9499

      @@85thandPine home decor signs inside and out. I’d just like the flexibility to create a larger sign, 5-6 feet tall/wide. I make signs of all sizes but can’t go bigger than 2 feet. I’d like to add wood cutouts to my signs and be able to offer larger signs.

      You would need a machine with a passthrough from the sound of it. Especially if you want to do something that length.@@jenifferpanko9499

    Thank you for always sharing your knowledge and help. What version of Light burn software do you use with the Thunder I'm getting ready to start using that software and would appreciate your impute please. I want to upgrade to the Thunder from my glowforge and need to learn a new software for it. Thank you

      Thank you for watching! I use Lightburn 1.2.0. However, I rarely edit anything through Lightburn and instead customize my files through Inkscape, then upload the SVG to Lightburn. Adjusting settings in Lightburn is the main thing you'll need to learn though but it's fairly easy once you get the hang of it.
