Thanks for promoting Malaysia and being honest to bring both cultures together. As Koki San said, he is paid in Japanese salary living in Malaysia and more time for the family are among the major reasons they migrated. Malaysian Chinese on the other hand, move out to many countries to find jobs and perhaps stay behind. If you make good money from developed nations and stay in Malaysia, u are kings and queens. If you make local salary and stay in KL, then this will be vice-versa. Overall, this is a very good genuine real life video. Thank you!
5 points suddenly become 8 points... and that's only 1 month and 2 weeks. I wonder how many points you would come up after 6 months or 1 year living in Malaysia. Also I watched Japan Explorer vlog and Japanese are also very kind and willing to help other but as some other Japanese pointed out, they are shy or don't want to stand out from the crowd that much. But on the kindness part, I guess there isn't much difference fundamentally. Nevertheless, enjoy your stay... and learn the local language to be more involve with the locals and experience what Malaysian actually is inside and out 😁
Thank you for coming to Malaysia and like to stay here. When you have time for short holidays, do go to Langkawi which is a duty free island. You can enjoy very cheap alcohol and other imported goods. Don't forget, Malaysia has a lot, a lot of holidays and many festive seasons to celebrate. So that will give you time to go on holiday to other parts of Malaysia.
Hello, welcome to Malaysia. I hope you both are able to live comfortably here. Here are tips for tourists/ expats/ foreigners deciding to live/visiting Malaysia, set your expectation accordingly. Do know that Malaysia is a developing country so there are plus and minus points about our country. Do not expect or compare Malaysia to first world countries, then you will be just fine and perhaps will fall in love with Malaysia. Malaysia being a muslim majority country, tax heavily on alcohols and cigarettes for betterment of society. There are many Japanese who at first frown upon how less they get to drink alcohols because of steep prices but after few years in Malaysia they did not care less because they noticed that their health improved once they drink less alcohol. Malaysian generally are laid back and accept people from all walk of life. However, they cannot tolerate people who come and show direspect to their culture and their country. Certain foreigners or immigrant workers from certain countries call us as racist when their behaviours are not acceptable in our countries like dirtying our place, taking, killing and eating our pets, stealing, asking money from tourist and locals or even gangster fight like in our country. As long as you are good people, respectful and kind, Malaysian surely treated you as one of our family.
1. Go to Langkawi for cheap alcohol. Duty free island. 2. Go to the highlands, to experience cooler climate. 3. Go to the islands if you miss the Philippines. The islands off Sabah are our Maldives. Do your scuba diving there. 4. Take day trips from KL to Putrajaya and Genting Highlands. Avoid school holidays though. 5. Old colonial Malaysia can be experienced in Ipoh and Penang. Take the train. Prices there are much cheaper than KL. Detour to Cameron Highland. It is not far from Ipoh. 6. Sabah and Sarawak on the island of Borneo is a different experience. If you were to fly there, don't forget your passport even though they're part of Malaysia.
Like many other Malaysians, I always subscribe to new youtubers to help them grow and hopefully, makes some money out of it. Just be consistent in producing good contents and you will join the rank of successful youtubers in no time. Goodluck and all the best to you.
We welcome and respect Japanese because they are very discipline on the road & in the train, well manner, clean, tidy, always on time, respectful to local culture. We want all these elements of Japanese culture to be in Malaysian culture too.
Welcome to Malaysia. If you plan to stay for a few years do take the opportunity to experience the local cultures and life. Please get out of your comfort zone. Don't be afraid even if language is a barrier because people can communicate in many ways.
It's good to know the both of you appreciate Malaysia and enjoy the multicultural environment we live in. There's so much to eat, see and enjoy in Malaysia, so take your time and take it all in!
Hi Koki & Misaki !!! Thanks for the video... Thanks again for your both honest review about Malaysia.. Yes, we respect Japan as our mentor to develop our economy and yet both Malaysia and Japan has a strong bonding relation since a very long time... All the best for both of you and i do hope the sweetest memory for both of you happen in Malaysia. " Selamat Datang ke Malaysia... ' I'm happy and i really appreciate it....thanks...bye..
As a Malaysian, we welcome you to stay in Malaysia. As a worker in Malaysia, it is easier to deal with my employer if i had trouble. They really understand their employee conditions. If I meet any Japanese, I may feel very happy and want to be their friend.
The beer is expensive only in convenient stores, bars and supermarkets. If you ask the locals, some would know secret places where it's quite cheap. I have my secret place where a case of 24 cans of beer is rm70. Hehe
@@koandmi we are from different state so you need to ask local KL people about that. It is cheap because its non taxed alcohol which is illegal but most people i know buy them and only buys bar beer to have fun in the pub/bar. Its kind of illegal thats why the place is usually secret haha
Oh wow. I think this is only your 2nd video that I have encountered and watched, and I thought you two are only holidaying in malaysia, now I know you actually work in the country and probably staying for some time. I'm not sure if you two are good in english, although I do think so because you have both worked in the philippines before, and your video comes with (basically good/accurate) english subtitles. Anyhow, my point is, for you to stay long and know the country and the locals much better, it is best that you know english, and malay, to some extent. Because in the cities you can chat up the townsfolk using english, such interactions may give you some insights on better/cheaper things around the city instead of completely relying only on spots popular among tourists. And there are so many interesting things outside of the cities too, including in the rural areas, and to better chat up with the local (village) folks, you need some malay words, then you can better experience what malaysia truly is. So you have time, but you better start learning now, and it's good that you actually work in the country so you have malaysian office mates. Best wishes in your career, and have a lovely lovely time in malaysia 👌
When you have time you can experience much more than kuala Lumpur I recommend u to go to Cameron highland or getting highland it a little cold place in Malaysia, other states like pineng, Kedah, perak , Sabah , Sarawak and so on malaysia have a beautiful beach n hiking places to go Hopefully u enjoy your day in Malaysia

When Koki sneezed, really made me laugh for a reason 🤣. Welcome to Malaysia, it might not be the best here but we really hope you two could enjoy and be proud of your decision to live here💫🥰🎉. If possible I would love live at Japan too someday!
I was surprised to know that the living expenses in Malaysia for Japanese aren't as cheap as I thought. I went to Japan for 6 months as an exchange student and I find everything to be expensive. Especially since I was told to bring back a lot of gifts. Merchandises costs a lot and I couldn't bring back as many gifts as I would've like. Or maybe perhaps it was due to my poor planning that I run out of money quickly. One other problem I had while living in Japan is that they are too shy to communicate. The problem is, I'm also too shy to open up. When two introverted people meet, carrying out a conversation is almost impossible 😂 I ended up texting my friend even though we were meeting each other directly
I have never seen foreigners make vdo on visit to Taman Negara. If you love and to see and experience nature at it's best....visit Taman Negara in Pahang. Take the trip by boat and spend a couple of days there. Get a guide and explore the rain forest by jungle tracking. Spend a night at the observation deck. You will love the experience. Caution to avoid rainy season when visiting Taman Negara.
