I always liked this hymn ,I also like the one St Helen's band club plays which you featured on the procession video. Thank you for showing a couple of photos of my brother Vince. Jasmine ,great photos of my home town ,thank you. Thank you Jasmine & Alfred for making this Karkariz proud to be a Maltese from Birkirkara.
@mychoicealfred2 - thanks for the lyrics - this is such a lovely hymn - thanks also to jasalf - you delivered again!!! Thank you - this music made me cry with joy - it reminds me of my mum at the festa, rushing to see the procession at the uneartly hour of 8.00am!!!
Brings back memories. Used to play the Eb Clarinet with this band (where I started) very long time ago when Andrew Coleiro was the Band Master. The soloist on the clarinet was Raymond Zammit and France Coleiro on the Soprano Saxophone. Thanks for uploading.
i still come in and play this when i get nostalgic.. especially during the feast day of the Holy cross, but especially on August 18th, every yr. miss youAl and Jasmine on FB. hope you're all doing ok.xx
The conductor is Mro. Roderick Bugeja, band conductor of Duke of Connaught's Own Band, being the Great Hymn composed for this band club. As regards the choir and baritone I'm not certain, depending on the date I guess.
Another amazing presentation for the Karkarizi like me to keep and treasure. Grateful as ever, Clemente, Melbourne, Australia
