Jackson Pollock's work and the process, the enormity of those masterpieces leaves me in absolute AWE. As a painter, he inspires me still to go bigger and as radical as it takes me. No rules, no limits, just ART. Raw and real.

The role Ed Harris was born to play.

Cold. sparse, dreary, and expansive cinematography. That is what Ed brought to it so you could enter the artwork and feel the expression and personality exploding off the canvas.

It's crazy how the looks of Ed Harris change just by gaining weight. I mean if he wears for example hairpieces it doesn't really change his looks.

Good entertaining film...pollock...good artist earlier work...then B.S. dribbling stuff. He had technical abilities and interesting stuff til he tossed away on simple..paint drops...dribbles..splatters. Those are techniques to be used IN CONJUNCTION with other elements..not to be only used on their own as they are meaningless.

He went towards rawer, more direct and visceral expression. Something which comes from artist directly. Without filtration of thought or intent.
