Haha thanks! I'm not a great keyboard player so I put some of the synthy bits on guitar to make it easier for me, but I think it also ended up sounding pretty cool. Glad to hear you agree, cheers!
This is amazing :D! It really is one of the most underrated video game tracks ever, it's perfect and i always feel sad starting a game because it stops the menu song
I just discovered this theme recently. Nintendo really likes to funk from time to time. Awesome to see you covering it!! It's really faithful to the original, nice work! Specially the drums, all the arrangements on point. That hi hat on the A part is really tight I'm also really into videogame music! I'm glad to see common tastes!
Hey Matias, thanks for the comment! Super cool to see some common tastes! I actually tried replying to you on your channel but I don't think it went through for some reason; I'm ready for your keyboard part for the Looking Up cover whenever! I have most of the other parts recorded, I just have to do a little bit of touching up on the bass & guitar in a couple places. Whenever you're ready to record, send me a message at my email blorgiomusic@gmail.com and we can figure out some more of the specifics. No rush of course. Thanks again!
@@blorgio Hi there!! I'm really interested in recording it, I've been busy the last couple of months. Excuse me for not replying! Are you still planning on doing that Looking Up cover? I'll write you to your mail later!
Started listening to the Wii Party Menu Theme today after a long while of not listening to it because of how nostalgic it is. Then this video appeared in my suggestions! Great cover!! Loved it as much as the original ^^
Well hello there! First, THANK YOU for this. Listening to this was a delight. Secondly, I'm doing a 365 Days of Music challenge, and I selected this for Day 273! Here's the bit I wrote on it: **Day 273:** "Wii Party Menu Theme cover" UH EXCUSE ME WHERE HAS THIS BEEN ALL MY LIFE?! I love random covers like this. Wii Party is a popular game -- it sold almost 10 million copies, according to Wikipedia -- and it has a stellar soundtrack. But games like this just seem to tend to get overlooked by the remix police. Maybe I'm wrong, but it just seems very difficult to find quality covers of music from party games compared to popular games from other genres. But this. This is the kind of stuff I'm looking for -- high-quality covers of fantastic tracks from fantastic party games. The arrangement is very faithful, but there's a little more refinement in the live performance here that makes this a nostalgic treat. One of the best ways to revisit a piece and boost the nostalgia factor is to make it sound very similar, yet more refined and polished and high-quality, adding little bits of flair or extra bits to the tune. Scruffy's Dodo Airlines cover and Daniel Capo's Roost cover can be considered examples of this, and so can this piece. Can we talk about the slap bass? Can we talk about the funky guitar? The amazing slide notes with that synth lead? The hyper and impactful drums that add to the excitement but don't detract from the chill atmosphere this tune creates? That's another thing about this track. Wii Party is not a particularly high-energy game. It's very chill, very tame, very soft in many ways. It's the kind of game you can comfortably play with people of all ages, even folks who hardly ever play video games. It's not very complex or overwhelming, *most of the time*. It's a favorite of my grandparents'. We play it with them often. This theme captures that gentleness, that innocence, that family fun, that low-key, refined party vibe that welcomes anyone who will come. The arrangement maintains this feeling while freshening it up. Like coming back home as an adult. You've grown up. You perceive more. But it's still home.
Also hear me out. The soccer minigame/Chin-Up Champ theme. I bask in it every time it plays in game. If you're ever in the mood to cover something else...this is my little suggestion. Nevertheless, I have subscribed and look forward to the next upload, whenever that may be. Best wishes!
Thank you! I’m honored you chose my video for your write up! I have lots of exciting stuff I’m cooking up that should be coming out soon(ish). I’m very busy with other projects/responsibilities right now but I wanna get back to putting out videos as soon as I can. Thanks again, I really appreciate it!
Thanks! I just pulled open the original session to check. I used the Operatic synth in Ableton and adjusted some of the parameters a bit to get that smooth sound. Thanks for the question!
Amazing cover bro really hopefully I can be as musically capable to you ut something like this together some day can you share the chords please? I’d love to play this son
Thanks man! You can definitely do it! It's all down to consistent practice and dedication. I dropped a lead sheet with the chords in the description of the video, hope that helps. Lmk if you need any help with it or anything else, and happy practicing!
Hey, sorry man, I don’t really have the time to tab out the whole tune unfortunately. I did put the chord changes on the lead sheet if you wanna check those out. If you’re not sure how to read different chord changes, u can find info on that stuff pretty easily on google (major, minor, seventh chords, etc). It’s not too complicated, I promise! I don’t really read sheet music either
nintendo hires some good ass composers. in the wii era, all the songs were AMAZING, and still are. dang.
Agreed!

Im still praying

Are you familiar with the De Blob games’ OST’s? They’re quite fantastic!
I’m not, I’ll have to check them out! Thanks for the recommendation!
@@blorgio I meant it when I said they’re fantastic. De Blob 1 was really experimental, and De Blob 2 refined that raw energy you felt in the 1st
🎶🇦🇷🎶💃🏻🎶🕺🎶🇦🇷🎶
What midi instrument are you using on the novation? sounds spot on
Thanks! It’s a synth called Operatic in ableton live. I softened the attack up a bit to get that nice floaty sound
Bro, tabs, PLEASE?
I see that the sheet music was provided but I honestly can’t read sheet music

Feel free! As long as the credit’s there, it’s good with me :)
May I ask how you play the Rhythm? I wanna learn it sounds good.
I made a lead sheet with chords! Check the description :)
@@blorgio It's been a year but thanks for the lead sheet now I'm able to play the rythm part. Thanks bro!
Duuuude that awesome, so stoked to hear that! Glad it was able to help you out. Keep rocking man! 🤘
How did you create the lead synth sound? (What is the name of the synth sound)
Hey there, thanks for the interest! It's a synth called Operatic in Ableton Live (the DAW I use) with some pitch bendiness from a mod wheel.
@@blorgio hey thnx for responding! I tried but I couldnt find it. I have Ableton 11 Live Suite.
Can u plz show the tabs for this song plz im trying to learn it
