A lot of people who bitch about the CVT couldn't even drive these roads as well as you did. Kudos to you for using your cars as the designers intended.

@@joshuaanderson778 Its gonna take awhile honestly autos are already faster than manuals CVTs have a bit of a way to go but as soon as someone designs a CVT that holds revs really well and responds fast its game over, but they would also need to design an engine that could take the abuse of running high revs all the time.
Although a good suspension setup would be more beneficial, an exhaust, intake combo would be sweet to hear the car come to life Nice vid, keep em coming

+Ivan Chung That Impreza is 300 kg lighter than the WRX CVT, and it's driven by a good driver. Whenever I go to 北宜, he is always there. And if you watch my other video, the trackday (dry) at PIC, it was the exact same green Lotus I passed on PIC. I feel sorry for the guy I had to pass him twice within a few days LOL! I do use paddle shifters, but when the water temperature starts to go up a bit too high, I would switch back to the auto mode to be conservative. Congrats on getting your new ride!

I'm glad that you found the clip useful! For the GPS unit, I got the accessory that's basically a plastic plate with the double sided tape in the bottom. Just stick it on a flat surface and mount the GPS' suction cup on top of it. You should be able to find it in the auto accessory shops like Autobacs.
MetalsForBrunch I do wish I have the manual, but the traffic sucks in my city, and the wife doesn't know what a clutch pedal is. The stock suspension is actually quite good. I only put on a thicker rear sway bar, and definitely more negative front camber when I get a new set of tires.
RedComet1980 Am not sure how much faster (if at all) you could have gone on that road with a stick shift. You were almost always maximum torque band, and do not lose time on shifts. I have a CVT too. On a mountain road, I leave in S# automatic, tap down a gear or two if needed, and leave upshifts to the computer. Works great. I call it I call S# "Playstation Mode".
Yeah that is true but you can add an external transmission oil cooler, Hayden and Mishimoto make them, and some even come with an additional fan on the cooler itself. You run the lines from the external cooler to the factory CVT oil cooler. A low temp thermostat helps too. As long as you have all of those things the CVT will never get to a high of a temperature that causes the fluid to go past the boiling point and cook the transmission from the inside out.
Finally, someone that does something other than pedal to the metal while holding the wheel straight, then bragging like they got mad driving skills.

The car in it's stock form handles really well already, and I'm also impressed with the responsiveness of the CVT, as long as it doesn't overheat.

+bmeasia about 115 degrees Celsius. That's with the oil cooler installed.

Stick might be better, suspension setup seems to slow down the car at corners. Did you mod your suspension or stock suspension?

看影片,角度較急的彎,要速度,用內外滑出去,感覺轉向不夠,硬拉回來,容易造成輪胎抓地力不足~一直有聽到機機叫~
選一些較好的路線,減少打滑現象,反而會跑的較好~

的確 一些大灣要從有外往內會比較好 還有4輪傳動的車可以比往常一般車慢一點轉方向盤 感覺有些轉的很急又要拉回來會造成車身不穩
