We support ISRAEL 🇮🇱 because we know what jews have faced in the past and ISRAEL 🇮🇱 supported us in the war of 1999 with their intelligence sharing. We as INDIANS respect jews for how resilient they have become whether it's the IT, DEFENSE, space or anything.
In the past, there was a time when Jewish community faced criticism in the entire world but not in India. Israel openly helped India in wars, and helped us in technological advancements. Moreover, both of us are fighting with a common threat of Islamic terrorism for several decades.
The above reasons bring us closer & we have nothing to hate, so our love for each other is natural
Zuzana need to hear truth even how brutal and rough it may seem. I was sightseeing York in England and the tourist guide showed me a square where the King had a night where he dreamt he needed to punish Jews of what happened to Jesus. All the Jews of the town were brought there and slaughtered. Jews have suffered a lot in Eurpoe. There is another set of people who have suffered as bad if not worse are Gypsies of Europe. Their treatment in Eastern Europe is so brutal and shocking.

But using the same logic , i know for sure that the Brits aren't taught about the horrific crimes the British empire comitted in India and in other colonies , They also consider Winston Churchill a hero . I know what Christianity has done and what it was used for and I'm certainly not defending this. Although I'm not aware of what that meant for Jews.
I think my challenge is that what I observed before people are passing judgements and keeping something alive that's not there anymore (providing it was in the first place). I think the "Western world" is so Goldless these days that..

@@zuzanareacts I'm pretty sure that he was talking about about the past not the present and may be christians are not represented hitler but he himself stood as the overlord of christianity and In Germany, many individuals who were not zealous Nazis nonetheless participated in varying degrees in the persecution and murder of Jews and other victims. Following German occupation, countless people in other countries also cooperated in the persecution of Jews. So it also was religious radicalism that got activated at that time even though it was a racial ethnic cleansing at its core total aim.And all these are facts.He didn't mean that It's still that case and if this offended you i will say sorry for him that he didn't specially mentioned that's not the case of present christians.
Let bygone be bygone n focus on how to bring heart n world closer even a little bit of effort in this regard is better than analysing non changeable past.
@@zuzanareactsNope it was not Christianity specifically. It were the businesses e.g :- East India Company. There is no religious aspect to it. That is forced into Christianity.
India is highly political. We have 1500 political parties. Unlike Europe where nationalism is looked down upon due to Hitler but in India Nationalism is what got us independence after 1000 years of colonialism from Muslims and European colonisers. We could have become highly developed like Japan or Korea if we just accepted USA to open up military bases in India and become their vassal state. But for us our freedom was of paramount importance even if we developed a little slow.

As someone who genuinely wants to understand your culture and also want you to understand our culture,
1. The internet is full of all sorts of people. There will be at least 1 comment that is going to upset you.
You should've accepted this reality the moment you put yourself online.
2. You are one running the channel with the intent of connecting with people. If you present resistance to people offering you their opinions and thoughts (however good or bad they may be), you're the one who stared this conversation.
3. I agree you can choose to be skeptical of certain people like Abhijit if you find his opinions contrasting.
However, for this particular topic, it comes off as someone who is finding it difficult to accept that there's a dark side to Christianity.
You don't seem to show the same skepticism when you asked Christians about this God killer story.
4. This will also be annoying to some people in India because our experience with Christianity for the past 500 years has been British, Dutch, French colonization, and Portugese Inquisitions.
We've experienced the dark side of Christianity that you refuse to believe exists.
5. No culture is perfect, but the people whom you're dealing with are not similar to you in thought, philosophy, education, or life experiences.
6. If you feel uncomfortable with any comments, it's best to discuss them with an open mind rather than being a snowflake.
Otherwise, it leaves a bad taste.

Hey - so I see what you are saying.
One thing that's completely shocking is that how you'd even come to a conclusion that I'm defending Christianity is mind-blowing - I wish I could use 100s of emojis with exploded heads.
I'm spiritual - I studied history for my degree and when I did I thought to myself how can anyone belive in religion after knowing all of this - is beyond me - so again your assessment is largely inaccurate.
But in all honestly, I just wanted people to start seeing things are totally different than what the videos portray. That's the point. However, someone said that people are well aware it was in a historical context .....

Millions of Indians are Christians and 3 states have 80%+ Christian Majority in India. So many Indians are generally well versed with sects in Christianity, Islam etc as their close friends are from among them.
Millions of Non-christian Indians have actually studied in Christian schools and colleges in India. And then there's recent British colonial past too.
So it's not like Indians aren't aware... *but for the rest of the Asia your statement generally holds true.*
And what Abhijeet said here in the podcast is both historically and textually true if we go by the book and the rulers... especially about massacre and anti-Semitism.
You can actually find it in Holy Bible, Chapter ISAIAH 9 - The Lord will Punish Israel.
But it's also equally true that some Christian Kings didn't practice the anti-semitism stuff and some Christian sects divulged from the Biblical texts and thus didn't practice it. Then there are multiple denominations in Christianity and some might reject the above quote from the Holy Bible. Regardless, jews were sadly massacred in the entire of Europe under most regimes.

I just wanted to mention no Christian would ever call the other Christian religion sect - this is very very bad. This is what I talk about when I say there is a lack of understanding of how the denominations operate. Sect = evil. Also, you have to understand that the same religion e.g. if I'm protestant is practised differently in Slovakia and in Germany for instance - I know that from experience. hence, the part that I don't appreciate is when Indian people throw all Christianity under one umbrella and to me this means they don't comprehend how it really works in reality. However, I decided that I'm done with this topic - people will only want to listen to what they want to and there are only few like you who I think get it.

Well, sect is quite a positive term in the USA, Australia, India, Middle-east and East.
Indians, Aussies are generally well aware of the denominations apart from the far east and middle-eastern nations. You might find some in Korea or Japan but the knowledge is pretty low (10%) regardless.
People tend to have biases and opinions and it's nothing to get upset about.
In my travel experiences, it's indeed true that here in the west, the governments propagate lies and propaganda especially about India and even about China. On the other hand, Australia is treated incredibly well as it's the part of the Anglo-Saxon white race and also part of Five eyes intelligence.
Yes, the UK, USA etc funded wars over there, supported dictatorships and even terrorism as long as it didn't hurt the USA although after 9/11 it did. You can actually see that spanning out with India when the UK, USA etc funded an Islamic dictatorship of Pakistan which initiated 4 major wars with Democratic India. No wonder India remained neutral in Ukraine - Russia war. Germany and Britain In-fact went on record to say "Do more trade" after the war.... it's like saying Ukraine and Russia should do more trade now, lol. It's like the London library calling the Indian Ramayana a mythology or an epic but events from the Bible and Quran as realities. Same goes for the state reality of China which is trolled as communist but actually follows Confucianism, Buddhism(originated in India) and Taoism in it's majority.
So yes, there's a sociological and historical context to it and a deep rooted western racism and hypocrisy against the East(Asia Pacific). The far eastern nations like Japan and S.Korea are vassal states of the USA so like Australia, they get a good pat and a positive media narrative here in the west.
*And all of that trickles down in the opinion and narrative building of Indians and Chinese although both are vastlly different as India is extremely pluralistic.*
And we both know even here in the west, many Christians although aware of denominations, don't know the underlying differences and their historical significance. Many for eg. didn't know of how Jews were massacred, or slaves trade in Africa or colonization of India etc.
If you don't judge Indians, Chinese etc via the social media narratives or on platforms like tiktok, Omegle etc...you'll generally find they're highly intellectual, family oriented, kind and deep rooted. Multiple opinions, direct approach etc are kinda common amongst Indians considering their religious and ethnic diversity. *So you'll get many supporting you and many condemning you and that's absolutely alright.* The rest of the east is quite homogenous in that regard within their borders. So yeah, there are multiple factors to it and the contradictions start appearing cuz for long only the west was propagating a certain narrative which we've become accustomed too. China, India, Korea, South Africa etc now want to speak out more and they don't accept that singularity of thoughts, history etc we imposed. Indians mostly are factual about their narrative and you'll see the USA getting in bed with them to counter China...typical of our way. The Middle Eastern thoughts on Christianity are sadly negative and that's a different ball game altogether.

@@zuzanareacts Thank you, before I read your comments, I had no idea that the word "sect" has a negative connotation. I'll use it more judiciously from now on. About the "putting all Christians under one umbrella" part, I'd just call these people ignorant. But then aren't we all? I'll give you my own example: I used to look at USA as a monolith. Every decision taken and every move made by the USA seemed to me to be something premeditated and done by a "deep state". Now, I have a slightly more nuanced opinion, where I can see that even USA is at war with itself. There are interest groups within in and as a result, much of what USA does is either the result of some kind of lobbying or just bureaucratic inertia. Ofcourse my study of USA is still under progress, so it might look very different by the end of it all. But I do agree that people who throw all Christians under one umbrella are just letting their cognitive biases get the better of them. The Internet has the power to both amplify and bust down echo chambers. Scratch that, not the internet, but we through the internet have that power. It is just a matter of choices. The average Indian is yet to realize this. But many of us do. It just takes a lot of effort to get closer to the truth, so people prefer to just form an opinion without proper analysis. Me included.

You want to look at all of the sects as Christianity, but you don't want us to comment on Christianity as a whole. When it comes to talking about Christianity, we want to look at individual issues and not attribute it to Christianity.. can you give me an example of How Rome became Christian? Was it peaceful? Was it wonderful for Romans who were pluralistic and proud of their original cultures!?

Don't know man. I find AIM has very good knowledge when it comes to geopolitics, but he is an absolute clown when it comes to defence technology. But that is maybe just due to me having much more in-depth knowledge about defence tech than I have about geopolitics. So AIM could be equally clueless about geopolitics, but I don't have the ability to judge him on that.
We are peace loving nation so we support humanity...we never endorse any war ,neither we are interested in any war...We are the only country existing in this planet where spirituality speaks volume above being religious. Now world slowly following our path.

Zuzana, you may have not heard of many things that do exist, like you weren't aware of the term Abrahamic religion and you claimed it does not exist in Western society but America mediated Abrahamic Acord between Israel and Arab countries.
I totally agree with this - just because I don't know it does not mean it does not exist. This sheds light that many different countries and cultures are aware of and do things differently. I just share from my personal angle.

Buddhism is atheistic school of thought originating in India. Unlike religions originating in west asia, indian faith is much like Japanese Shinto (each region having its own culture & deities and festivals), Greek(again each city/kingdom having their own main deity/demi god), roman, indigenous faith of Norse people etc.
And every faith originating in India is dharmic faith and they are influenced from each other, or more accurately, each belief system in India is based on pre existing norms of society and arised out of needs for philosophical ideas. When some of these ideas were molded in form of sacred books, and west invaded India, they started addressing them as seprate religion. Many sects which aren't even considered mainstream faiths in India, are as old as other faiths which originated in India. They are limited to selected areas only and were not writing down in specific books otherwise we would have more religions arising out of India.

Everything Anhijit is saying in this interview is correct. I am from India and lived in US for several decades. I have read a lot of books about European history, American history etc etc. in the past Christians did indeed blame Jews for the death of Christ. At the present however Christians do not talk about it. Christians and Jews now face the common adversary.Abhijit is also right about jealousy against Jews in Europe because they were wealthier, more educated, professionals and generally very successful . It goes without saying that how much this world owes to Jewish people when it comes to progress in science and technology.

Hello Zuzana, I do understand your concerns and tbh many people form their opinions based on what supports their worldview which really makes it difficult to make them understand due to their prejudices. Another thing to remember is that most Indians statistically don't know English that well and there are also 2nd language speakers which I think causes them and you to talk past each other. And honestly people on the internet are so spiteful and dismissive and I only wish they had some empathy and understanding especially in gaming my god. One way I handle this is I look at their conclusions and I think "what premises does this have to come up with such conclusions?" And I would realise there is nothing and just dismiss their claims (this sort of thinking arises when reading too much philosophy for me). So keep asking questions and continue seeking as it is essential on the spiritual path.
Some context to know about Abijit: He is not one mince words regarding anyone especially his own country. One thing I would say is that we and everyone like about him is that he is an extremely critical person against everyone and all government and parties haha. Idk if there is anyone he doesn't complain about. Regardless whether he's right or wrong I can say he is consistent. Like he did an almost 2 hour podcast talk on the end of Hinduism with the Carvaka Podcast haha. I do think he is better than Abhijit Chavda when it comes to politics because he works at The Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies along with defence economics and foreign policy and he was also put in jail once for false charges so he has more skin in the game. Ah he is also an atheist and that comes with secular view unlike both of us.
Sorry if I rambled too much or missed any points it's a habit of mine.

The explanation you get for it from Jewish friends we enquire and American friends is what AIM was trying to explain. 5) There would have been no need for term Antisemitism if such a thing never existed. No one is accusing you or generalizing all Christian communities think that but such a thing exists. 6) I dont know if you are aware of evangelical movement in India and amount of money and clout they have. I myself studied in one such catholic schools in my childhood. Most of the Bible stories (not from Bible but fictional stories which would follow explaining virtues explained in a certain verse from the Bible, These were called moral stories and in most of the moral stories it was the poor poise Christian against wealthy Jewish guy. May be they choose Jewish character as the other guy so as to not upset local non Christian Hindu or Muslim community children to whom these moral stories were thought). Trust me when I was around 8 or 9 after a year of moral science subject in my school a) I used to think all Jews would have converted to Christianity because that was the coolest thing to be. b) Every year our school would have white teenagers from UK and USA visiting our schools on special occasions they would sing carols distribute sweets show movies ( mostly kids cartoons based on moral stories ). b) Imagine at age of 8 or 9 being a brown kid seeing a white person aged around 17 to 20 wearing cool Jeans playing Guitar, Violin or Piano or singing songs, They looked like rock stars to us and as kid we though may be all former Jews after seeing how awesome the Christians were had already converted. c) We used to believe the term Moral or Good had to have come only because Christianity was around.

When it comes to understanding something outside of India, say Christianity, we Indians usually don't try to relate to it, but instead read it like a historical record. Today is the 15th anniversary of 26/11 Mumbai attacks, which were carried out by Pakistani army sponsored terrorists (which was proven later by material as well as confessional evidence).
You'd be surprised to know that there were some people in India (you may guess their background and religious motivations), who published a book creating a narrative which said that Hindu organisations orchestrated the attack to pin the blame on Muslims and Pakistan.
When the results of investigation came out after a Supreme Court inquiry where Pakistani hand was proved, the author and promoters of the book refused to apologize and said it's their opinion and they have freedom of speech and expression.
So we have seen times and even today we see many times when crime against Hindus takes place and the Hindus themselves are blamed.
What is even more frustrating is that when there is no way to pin the blame on Hindus, some news portals like BBC, NYT, Al Jazeera would pick up a familiar narrative of "majoritarian Hindu India" where Muslims are a minority- hence they just aren't able to commit crime against Hindus. Therefore, any reports of a Muslim extremist committing a crime must either be misreported or manufactured news. And if he has actually committed a crime, it must be because he might be afraid of majority Hindus oppressing him or taking away his rights. So his crime is justified.
I do not know if you are reading this message but I have thought about this thing that, religion is nothing but some ideology which one or a group of people have and all the other people become it's followers. This starts a vicious cycle of blind beliefs in which all the generations get trapped and their rational thinking gets over.
See, I have a habit that I refrain from comparing my, as in western language "religion" but actually it's a "dharma" , with other religions.

As per whatever I found through the news and podcasts, the Jews were ready to share the country but the Gaza people and the other Islamic countries didn't and they started the war which they lost again and again. I would say its fair to defend your own people. Its the mindset which has been deeply engraved against the Jews.
