Now that I’ve finished and comeback here, I see emperor got the same expression when he sent away Ruyi to cold palace with the time Ruyi ended up cutting her hair in disappointment to him. He got the lesson but he never learn.
He took advantage of her knowing that she would forever be loyal to him despite his shortcomings. He is indeed selfish and cruel husband.
Why must he always sacrifice Ruyi? Why can't he protect her? He is the most stupid husband, emperor and man. He really doesn't deserve Ruyi's love.
Ruyi was more than a nobility. Her paternal aunt and female ancestors were Empress. However after the paternal aunt fallen from grace, Ruyi’s family had nothing to offer to the Imperial family. Even though the Emperor may dote on her but in time of crisis, he would sacrifice Ruyi to pacify concubines’ example his Empress and Concubine Gao who had strong family backing and contribution to the court. Love of benefits.
Poor Ruyi didn’t have family backup unlike the Fuca & Gao clan..or even the political relation like the Yu clan or Borjigit..so she’s so dispensable, unlike all those other Consorts who could still be pardoned and misdeeds hidden ‘to save face’ and ‘preserve ties’ 😢

Concubines cannot use the term “wife” (妻 qi1) and the Emperor by right cannot refer to concubines as “wife” as well. The term “wife” can only be used by the Empress or the first/main wife.
Concubines can only call themselves concubines (妾 qie4 ) And no matter how it is translated to English, they are still not a wife.
It’s hard to translate all these titles and ranks of concubines, so terms like 侧福晋 (ce4 fu2 jin4) is often loosely translated to second wife in English, but they are actually not wife.

Ella no era ambiciosa a pesar q le hicieron daño imculpandola de muchas cosas, la anterior Emperatriz y otras consortes se encompincharon para q ella no quedara embarazada, hicieron q perdiera su bebé nunca se dio x vencida era muy directa prudente y amaba a los hijos de las otras consortes y era respetada y querida x ellas xq siempre las defendia...Había de todo , lo bueno que muchas de estas consortes malas que querían su título la pagaron y muy mal, envenenadas y exiliadas x el mismo emperador, me agrada el final xq ambos se amaban y cuando ella falleció fue la única vez q dijo q era viudo, el cabello de la separación siempre lo guardó y al final de sus días también se cortó si cabello y lo unió al de él y murió 😯😯 y la planta q ella tanto cuidaba ...él se la llevó y al final floreció 😍😍así eran esos tiempos tantas concubinas, consortes, hijos, envidia ,poder, llegar a ser la favorita del emperador, ser Emperatriz ohhhhh ( cuando ellas morían pedían si había reencarnación NO QUERÍAN UNA VIDA ASÍ,DESEABAN UNA VIDA TRANQUILA ) bella historia y real.
Su fuerza interna de Ruyi es admirable y creo que no expresaba mucho porque tenía la responsabilidad de representar a su clan que estaba en desventaja porque no tenían puestos en la corte.

Es porque ella se corta el cabello para romper con él, sólo se cortan el cabello en funerales. Si está el vídeo y tiene por título Rury se corta el cabello, o algo similar. Entiendo que ella le reprocha todas las injusticias que él ha cometido. Incluso la acusó de infidelidad con un guardia al que él mató por la simple sospecha.
